The Robot Reporter Website Development project created a front end interface for interacting with news stories generated by the Robot Reporter script that was originally developed for the Digital Democracy institute at Cal Poly. Various graphs, videos, and other interesting content is displayed to the user in order to create an automated news website focusing on activity in state legislatures.

Lightning Draft is a web application for drafting Magic: the Gathering cards. Users can visit www.lightningdraft.online to build a deck from randomly generated booster packs. This app was inspired by digital card games such as Hearthstone. Lightning Draft is a quick, fun, and simple alternative to drafting with physical cards.

The Pre-R project provides a central database of medical service fees offered by hospitals across the United States. The database is crowdsourced and all data points are provided by end users or by hospital providers themselves. The fees are searchable through a website (www.pre-r.com) and iOS and Android applications. The mobile applications also provide a way for users to capture a picture of any medical bill and upload it for analysis and entry to our database.

E-commerce sites need to pay special attention to the usability of their sites, since it has such an impact on how potential costumers view their brand.

The goal of this senior project was to build a website and software application to receive and manage audio equipment repair requests for a small startup company called Bay Audio Repair (BAR). Furthermore, it allowed me to gain experience in web development and software engineering practices, specifically requirements gathering, design and implementation. The website provides an online interface for BAR’s customers to request repairs and the application allows BAR employees to update the progress of a repair. Several technologies were used in the system’s construction: HTML, XML, PHP, and C#.
