BACKGROUND: Relational aggression (RA) in nursing is widespread. One group often at risk for exposure to RA is the newly licensed nurse. RA can lead to a negative work environment which can cause poor patient outcomes and high nurse turnover.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of an educational program on RA in the emergency department with newly licensed registered nurses. METHODS: This study employed a descriptive, pretest-posttest single site comparative design. Baseline health literacy was assessed before video education was completed using the Atrial Fibrillation Knowledge scale. Rates of depression in older home healthcare (HH) patients are highly prevalent. Although depression in this population is associated with increased rates of re-hospitalization, falls, and suicides, it is frequently under diagnosed and under treated. This Capstone Report examined this problem through three interrelated manuscripts. The first manuscript explored the problem through a review of the literature.
