The presentation delves into understanding, investigating, and supporting the occupational needs of NFL athletes. Through thorough research and analysis, it was revealed that these athletes face distinct challenges and demands in their professional and personal lives, specifically in wellness, quality of life, and lifestyle balance. The study results provide knowledge and abilities to address and advocate the unique needs of NFL athletes. The evidence strongly emphasizes the advantages and benefits of occupational therapy services in non-traditional settings such as sports.

Case of a 16 year old female competitive dancer with chronic back pain. Previous diagnosis of mechanical low back pain being treated by PT without improvement. Further workup demonstrated bilateral spinal synovial cysts at L4/L5 facet joints. Patient underwent IR guided aspiration and steroid injection with resolution of her symptoms and ultimately returned to dance.

Based on interviews with local stakeholders in public health and literature review, developed an informational brochure for high school athletes containing prevention and management strategies and resources for low back pain. The aim of this project is to help young athletes stay healthy and live well as they age by promoting spine health.

Background: Despite the availability of high-quality evidence describing injury patterns in European professional soccer players, there is a paucity of data regarding American athletes. This disparity is accentuated for elite youth athletes. Our study identifies position-specific injury patterns occurring in elite youth male soccer players. Hypothesis: We hypothesize that there are injury types, locations, and specific injuries that occur most frequently in elite youth soccer players and that certain positions have a higher frequency of these injuries than others.
