Claudication occurs when the blood supply is insufficient to service the musculature in the body with oxygen and metabolic waste management. A clinical complaint of claudication is commonly seen in primary care among older patients with vascular risk factors. A young and healthy patient presenting with claudication is less common and often results in delayed diagnosis with numerous extraneous diagnostic studies. Psoriatic arthritis has been known to cause many inflammatory clinical features, including synovitis. In the past, synovitis has been primarily treated with NSAIDs, corticosteroid injections, and synovectomy when needed. This case report outlines a 49-year-old female with synovitis caused by psoriatic arthritis who did not respond to conventional treatment options and was apprehensive to surgery. She was offered a platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection as alternative therapy to a synovectomy. Introduction: Patients with concussion may benefit from care provided by professionals from multiple disciplines based on the constellation of symptoms being reported. This study analyzed referral patterns from primary care and sports medicine clinicians for pediatric patients with sports-related concussion in one health care system.

Methods: A retrospective chart review identified referrals placed to physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, optometry, psychology, neuropsychology, audiology, neurology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, psychiatry, and sports medicine for pediatric patients with sports-related concussion. Introduction: Neck pain (NP) and low back pain (LBP) are prevalent among military helicopter pilots. Although there have been few studies on sex differences in the NP/LBP prevalence in this population, females are shown to be at a greater risk of NP/LBP in civilian studies.
