Vulvar Paget’s disease is an uncommon adenocarcinoma of the female genital tract, occuring more often in postmenopausal Caucasian women and accounting for 1-2% of all vulvar malignancies. A 39-year-old female patient was examined for the erythematous and pruritic vulvar lesion, with biopsy and histological examination revealing vulvar Paget’s disease. We did not diagnose any associated neoplasm. The patient underwent four surgical resections for relapsed disease, varying from local excision to extended excision, including radical vulvectomy, with esthetic coverage. The margins were involved. Purpose: Panniculectomy is a common procedure in plastic surgery, often performed following massive weight loss and in morbidly obese patients. It can be performed in combination with various gynecologic procedures based on the rational that it will reduce complication rates.^{1, 2, 3} These studies fail to provide proof of these claims for reasons including study design and the lack of inclusion of both morbidly obese and non-morbidly obese patients. Recent medical practice has focused increasingly on minimizing patient morbidity and trends in reimbursement are moving towards penalizing practices which increase complications.

Hysterectomy is one of the most common surgeries performed in the United States with more than 600,000 procedures annually . It has been estimated that in 2011, there were more than 64,000 surgeries performed in an outpatient setting. The highest rate of 0.46% (464/100,000 adult women) has been reported in Maine. The average length of stay was 0.65 days for laparoscopic and 0.79 days for vaginal hysterectomies [1]. Traditionally, hysterectomies have been performed as an inpatient procedure to manage postoperative pain and monitor complications such as bleeding, anemia and return of bowel function. Prenatal closure of myelomeningoceles for fetuses with ventricular width of greater than 15 mm at the time of intrauterine screening (19-25 weeks) has been discouraged, but little is documented regarding the details of ventricle measurement, modality, and timing. This study concludes that ultrasound and MRI provide different results in regards to fetal ventricle size. If treatment recommendations are going to be offered or withheld based on the 15 mm "rule" the method of fetal imaging must be taken into account.

Purpose: Previous reports indicate many women may not have a firm grasp on likely outcomes of different hysterectomy procedures. This study aimed to assess women’s self-reported expectations of how they think their anatomy will change after hysterectomy.

Methods: Women scheduled for hysterectomy at a tertiary care hospital, for non-oncological reasons, reported their planned procedure type and the organs they understood would be removed 2 weeks prior to surgery. Patient reports and electronic medical records were reviewed, and kappa statistics (κ) were calculated to assess agreement for all women and within subgroups.
