Preeclampsia/Eclampsia are common gestational conditions among pregnant women. These individuals have hypertension after 20 weeks of gestation, proteinuria/end-stage organ disease, and may have seizures. These conditions can put the mother and fetus at risk.^1,2 A review of literature investigates whether an association exists between congenital heart defects (CHD), and maternal preeclampsia/eclampsia in the neurotypical and neurodivergent population. The Rowan-Virtua Regional Integrated Special Needs (RISN) Center patient population was used to investigate whether maternal preeclampsia/eclampsia is indicative of higher congenital heart disease (CHD) in their neurodivergent children to achieve better quality of care. Background: Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is a condition where pathogens invade the urinary tract and can travel up the urethra and into the bladder. UTIs occur more commonly in females compared to males and in the post-menopausal population this rate increases significantly. While these infections may be asymptomatic, they can also cause severe discomfort and lead to serious and even life threatening complications. Purpose: Panniculectomy is a common procedure in plastic surgery, often performed following massive weight loss and in morbidly obese patients. It can be performed in combination with various gynecologic procedures based on the rational that it will reduce complication rates.^{1, 2, 3} These studies fail to provide proof of these claims for reasons including study design and the lack of inclusion of both morbidly obese and non-morbidly obese patients. Recent medical practice has focused increasingly on minimizing patient morbidity and trends in reimbursement are moving towards penalizing practices which increase complications.
