‘Sarcopenia’ involves a progressive age-related loss of muscle mass and associated muscle weakness that renders frail elders susceptible to serious injury from sudden falls and fractures and losing their functional independence. This disease has a complex multifactorial pathogenesis, which involves not only age-related changes in neuromuscular function, muscle protein turnover, and hormone levels and sensitivity, but also a chronic pro-inflammatory state, oxidative stress, and behavioral factors – in particular, nutritional status and degree of physical activity. Depression is a common condition in heart failure (HF) and is considered a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Depression disorder in patients with heart disease paradigmatically defines a psychosomatic-somatopsychic challenge to any health delivery. However, despite the devastating effects of depression, it is often underdiagnosed and receives little attention in heart failure patients. This review provides an extensive overview of HF regarding epidemiology, disease pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management from the latest literature. Based on the literature review, the prevalence of depression in heart failure in Indonesian patients was 5.3-42%. Celiac disease is a reversible, proximal immune enteropathy resulting from the interaction of dietary gluten with the intestinal immune system. Celiac disease can produce varied manifestations and may develop at any age. New cases have increased substantially, due to increase awareness and better diagnostic tools. Standard diagnosis of celiac disease is based on positive serologic tests and histopathologic examination of duodenal biopsies. Treatment of celiac disease with free gluten diet will improve symptoms, quality of life, reduce risk of malignancy and complication. Nowadays, treatment strategy of celiac disease with non-dietary therapies is still underdevelopment.

Tuberculosis (TB) has become a resurgent global problem with increasing numbers of patients. TB infection is still common and remains an important cause of morbidity and mortality, particularly in underdeveloped and developing nations. Intestinal tuberculosis (intestinal TB) rates are rising, consistet with the overall trend. In 2014 Indonesia has the second highest TB prevalence in South East Asia after Timor Leste. Intestinal TB is the sixth highest manifestation of extrapulmonal TB. Paroksismal nokturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) merupakan kelainan darah yang sangat jarang. Penegakan diagnosis PNH cukup panjang, mulai darianamnesis, pemeriksaan fisik, serta pemeriksaan laboratorium (darah dan urin) dimulai dari yang sederhana sampai lanjutan. Penyelidikan ini tidak saja memerlukan perencanaan klinis yang matang, melainkan juga waktu dan tenaga yang banyak, serta biaya yang mahal. Selain itu, sampai saat ini, pilihan pengobatan untuk PNH masih sangat terbatas, dengan keberhasilan yang belum memuaskan sepenuhnya. Berikut kami laporkan sebuah kasus PNH pada seorang perempuan 18 tahun.
