Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia

Introduction. Primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) is an angioplasty (with or without a stent) performed immediately on the infarct-related artery without prior administration of fibrinolytics. Although PPCI is the reperfusion therapy of choice in ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) patients, survival in post-PPCI patients still varied and research on its determinant factors still showed inconsistent results. This study aimed to determine the predictors of oneyear survival in patients undergoing PPCI at Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital.

Methods. This retrospective cohort study evaluated the medical records of patients who underwent PPCI at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital from January …

Introduction. Standard positive pressure isolation room is not yet widely available in Indonesia. In several private hospitals, current best practice is admitting patients to semi-isolation room with additional protective measures. Despite the limitation, this practice is considered safe and might benefit Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients. This study aimed to analyze the leukemic profile and survival in AML patients admitted to semi-isolation room. Methods. A retrospective cohort study was conducted using secondary data from medical record of AML patients diagnosed in Mochtar Riady Comprehensive Cancer Center between 2018 – 2020. Patients were divided into semi-isolation room group and not admitted …

Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio, Three Year Survival Of Locally Advanced And Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, Rahmat Cahyanur, Hayatun Nufus, Cosphiadi Irawan

Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia

Introduction. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is the most prevalent head and neck malignancy in Indonesia, as NPC-related mortality in Indonesia is the second-highest in Asia after China. Inflammation has been studied to be associated with cancer progression. Neutrophil lymphocyte ratio describes the balance between the unfavorable suppression of immune response against cancer by neutrophils and the beneficial effect of adaptive immunity by lymphocytes. This study aimed to determine the relationship between NLR and the survival of locally advanced and advanced NPC patients.Methods. A retrospective cohort study was conducted using the medical records of NPC patients treated at the hematology clinic RSCM …

Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia

Introduction. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a major health problem in Indonesia because most patients are diagnosed in late stages when curative treatment is no longer possible. The aim of this study is to evaluate one-year survival rate, prognostic factors, and treatment modalities of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods. A retrospective analysis was done in patients with HCC who were admitted to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (CMGH) between January 2013 and March 2014. Clinical parameters and treatment modalities were evaluated. Patients outcome at one-year of follow-up were recorded from medical records or patients were contacted by phone call. Survival curve was …

Five Year Survival Of Active Multiple Myeloma Patients Based On Durie-Salmon And International Myeloma Working Group 2003 Diagnostic Criteria, Sri Agustini Kurniawati, Ary Harryanto Reksodiputro, Tubagus Djumhana Atmakusuma

Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia

Introduction. Survival of active multiple myeloma (MM) patients is determined by early diagnosis and various prognostic factors. The development of MM diagnostic criteria from Durie-Salmon (DS) criteria to International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG) 2003 is an attempt to diagnose active MM earlier. However, due to limited resources, these diagnostic criteria cannot be fulfilled consistently in Indonesia. Based on this reason, it is necessary to know the proportion of MM based on DS and IMWG 2003 diagnostic criteria and also their impact on the survival of MM patients in Indonesia. Methods. This was a retrospective cohort study with survival analysis. Subjects …

Hypoxic Liver Injury As Predictor Of Major Adverse Cardiac Events In Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients Admitted To Intensive Coroner Care Unit Of Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Muhadi Muhadi, Nurhayati Adnan Prihartono

Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia

Introduction. Major adverse cardiac events (MACE) is a complicating myocard infarct which consist of acute heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and fatal arrhytmia. An accurate, easy and cost-effective biomarker is needed to predict MACE and mortality in patients with myocard infarct. Hypoxic liver injury (HLI) is a potential biomarker using serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) level as the parameter. This study is aimed to discover HLI’s role in predicting MACE in non ST elevation myocard infarct (NSTEMI). Methods. This study was designed as cross sectional to predict MACE and prospective cohort for survival analysis. Study population was all NSTEMI patients admitted to …

Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia

Introduction. Chemotherapy is one of therapy choices for the advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). The success in therapy is measured with the 1-year survival, 2-year survival and the Progression Free Survival (PFS). The success is influenced by many factors: resistant to the citostatic, dosage, administer intensity, chemotherapy regiment, type histology, stage, performance status, comorbidity and social economic. In Indonesia, funding and chemotherapy regiment become the challenge for the success of therapy. Methods. The study used the Retrospective Cohort study with survival analysis. The Patients included in this study were the advanced NSC Lung Cancer (At least Stadium IIIa) who …
