Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a serious complication of diabetes associated with severe morbidity leading to poor quality of life and high cost of treatment. Many physicians are of the opinion that effective, multidisciplinary management of foot ulcer is necessary to avoid adverse consequences such as amputation and permanent disability. Homoeopathy offers an effective and safe management of these cases through its unique holistic approach. Objective: To study the effect of Anthracinum CH 200 to prevent anthrax in sheep and goats in less and highly endemic villages of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, India was studied. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted in 159,250 sheep and goats, in anthrax-endemic Kadapa district in India, from 2003 to 2008, consecutively covering 1 endemic and 17 less endemic villages. Background: Syzygium jambolanum is widely used in Homoeopathy for treating Diabetes mellitus and its complications. Objective: To explore the remedial effects of homoeopathic mother tincture Syzygium jambolanum on metabolic disorders of Streptozotocin induced diabetic male albino rat. Materials and Methods: Serum levels of insulin, urea, uric acid, creatinine, albumin and total protein were measured as per the standard methods using specific kits. Amount of glycogen in liver and skeletal muscles, activities of antioxidant enzymes as well as content of free radical bye products in liver and kidney tissues were assessed biochemically following the standard protocol.
