Peningkatan jumlah tenaga kerja Indonesia yang diberangkatkan keluar negeri seiring dengan kebijakan nasional diikuti oleh peningkatan berbagai masalah yang mengarah pada pelanggaran hak azasi manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui berbagai kekerasan yang menyertai setiap tahap penempatan tenaga kerja Indonesia dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam dan metoda analisis tema. Penelitian diadakan di Propinsi Sumatera Barat, pada bulan April-Mei 2006. Hasil penelitian menemukan semua TKI berangkat pada usia muda. TKI dengan tingkat pendidikan/akses informasi terbatas mudah terjebak dalam pemberangkatan ilegal. Currently, there is a need for qualitative research about how insulin pump therapy changes quality of life, which is significant to people with type 1 diabetes. This study aimed to elicit the experiences of current insulin pump users in order to discover the therapy's benefits, downsides and effect on their quality of life. A qualitative approach was taken in order to reveal subjective experiences. This research will inform future research and assist with policy and guideline development by health care providers about pump therapy.

Background: Interest in psychological factors in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has increased in recent years. It has even been proposed that treating psychological co-morbidities with antidepressants may control disease activity and improve quality of life. Despite this, there is no data on gastroenterologists' attitudes to, and experiences with, antidepressant therapy in patients with IBD. Methods: We conducted semi-structured interviews with 18 gastroenterologists associated with metropolitan teaching hospitals. Qualitative content analysis was used to examine their responses.
