Objective: The objective of this selective EBM review is to determine whether or not administration of 800 mg IV ibuprofen reduces post-surgical pain within 24-28 hours.

Study Design: A systematic review of three randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled studies.

Data Sources: All studies were published in English during or after the year 2010. All articles were obtained from peer reviewed journals and databases using PubMed and CINAHL Plus. Selection was determined based on the relevance to the clinical question.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this evidence-based medicine (EBM) review was to determine whether or not catheter ablation improves quality of life in patients with atrial fibrillation compared to drug therapy.

STUDY DESIGN: Systematic review of three peer-reviewed studies published in the years 2018 and 2019. All three studies were published in English.

Objective: The objective of this selective EBM review is to determine whether or not “Is levetiracetam more effective than phenytoin in seizure cessation in children with convulsive status epilepticus that don’t respond to first-line treatment?”

Study design: Systematic review of three randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published in peerreviewed journals in English in 2019. Data Sources: Three RCTs published in peer reviewed journals were found using Alt HealthWatch, AMED, CINAHL Plus, and Scopus.
