Lilly Endowment Inc. is an Indianapolis-based, private philanthropic foundation created in 1937 by three members of the Lilly family -- J.K. Lilly Sr. and sons J.K. Jr. and Eli -- through gifts of stock in their pharmaceutical business, Eli Lilly and Company.

This Bill of Particulars provides a window to some of the exciting changes at Indiana Law since the adoption of our Strategic Plan. The plan calls for Indiana Law to be a "highly visible and influential law school whose faculty, students, and graduates advance knowledge, justice, and the public good in the state, in the nation, and around the world." Michael S. (Mickey) Maurer, a 1967 graduate of the School of Law, established the Val Nolan Chair of Law with his wife, Janie, as a way of honoring Mickey Maurer’s favorite professor, Val Nolan.
