Industry 3.0 automation emerged replacing human labor with high volume processes and robotics. Industry 4.0, cyber-physical systems, and Industry 5.0, mass customization and cognitive systems, are in the early stages of emergence. Research into the impact of Industry 4.0 and 5.0 is focused at the strategic or organizational levels or on the technological challenges.
