Effect Of Molybdenum Disulfide Particle Sizes On Wear Performance Of Commercial Lubricant, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, S. M. Muzakkir, Harish Hirani

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Experimental investigations have been conducted for determination of effectiveness of employing a combination of three particle sizes (40 nm size, 1.75 μm size and 53 μm size) of Molybdenum Disulphide as anti-wear additive in a commercial lubricant. The conformal block and disk configuration has been used to conduct experiments for determination of wear of the sliding surfaces. The performance of the proposed combined particle sizes anti-wear additive is compared with single particle size anti-wear additives to establish its robustness under varying surface conditions.

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

The aim of this paper is to represent a general study the design and analysis of leaf spring. The suspension system in a vehicle significantly affects the behavior of vehicle. Leaf springs are subjected to millions of varying stress cycles loading to fatigue failure. Leaf springs are special kind of springs used in automobile suspension systems. The main function of leaf spring is not only to support vertical load but also to isolate road induced vibrations. The present work attempts to linear Static analysis determines the safe stress and corresponding pay load of the leaf spring and analyze the safe …

Research On Optimization Of Plunge Centerless Grinding Process Using Genetic Algorithm And Response Surface Method, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Phan Bui Khoi, Do Duc Trung, Ngo Cuong, Nguyen Dinh Man

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

This paper presents the research on optimization of plunge centerless grinding process when grind 20X – carbon infiltration steel (ГOCT standard - Russia) to achieve minimum of roundness error value. The input parameters are center height angle of the workpiece (  ), longitudinal grinding wheel dressing feed-rate ( Ssd ), plunge feed-rate ( k S ) and control wheel velocity ( dd v ). Using the result of 29 runs in Central Composite Design matrix to given the second order roundness error model. Genetic algorithm and Response surface method were used to focus on determination of optimum centerless grinding …

Fracturing And Deformation Characteristics Of Aluminium Preform During Cold Forging At Low Strain Rates, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Shrikant Jain, R. K. Ranjan, Surender Kumar

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

The industrial processing of sintered powder preform has been developed for manufacturing various engineering components. The present investigation has been undertaken to analyze the deformation characteristics during the cold forging of sintered aluminium preform at low strain rates. Experiments have been conducted and measurements made on deformation during cold forging on aluminium preforms with lubricated end conditions. Experimentally obtained flow load and plastic work done are in good agreement with theoretical estimates

Analysis Of Transient Natural Convection Flow Past An Accelerated Infinite Vertical Plate, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Kaprawi S. Feb 2015

Analysis Of Transient Natural Convection Flow Past An Accelerated Infinite Vertical Plate, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Kaprawi S.

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

This work describes a vertical hot plate moves with acceleration and with variation wall temperature. The temperatures of the plate decrease with the increase of velocity of the plate. The temperature and velocity are given by the governing equations. The dimensionless equations of the problem have been solved numerically by the finite difference method. The temperature and the velocity profiles against several parameters like Prandtl Number, Grashoft number and time are presented. The results show that the temperature and velocity profiles are significantly influenced by Prandtl and Grashoft number.

Review Of Composite Asymmetric Spur Gear, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Sandeep C. Dhaduti, S. G. Sarganachari

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Gears made from composite materials are widely used in many power and motion transmission applications. Due to lower weight to stiffness ratio, composite gears may be replaced by conventional material gears in power transmission systems. Design of gears with asymmetric teeth enables to increase load capacity, reduce weight, size and vibration level. This article includes a summary of asymmetric gear design parameters, new developments of asymmetric spur gear and their application in various fields of engineering applications.X

Microstructure And Mechanical Properties Of Multipass Friction Stir Processed Aluminum Silicon Carbide Metal Matrix, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, V V Murali Krishna G, K.S Atyanarayana

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

In this study, SiC particles were incorporated by using Friction Stir Processing (FSP) into the 6351 aluminium alloy to form particulate composite materials. Sampels were subjected to constant rotational and traverse speeds of the FSP tool with and without SiC reinforcements. Microstructural observations were carried out by employing optical microscopy of the modifiedsurfaces. Mechanical properties were evaluated by tensile test on UTM. For the 100% overlapping, No.of passes caused grain modification in the processed zone. The tensile test results indicate an improvement of strength and Microhardness for Single Pass FSP samples and a reduction in the strength of FSP samples …
