A wave-shaped mask for fabricating a nano-scale structure is disclosed. The wave-shaped mask comprises an elastomeric transparent substrate having an upper surface and a lower surface, and a light-penetrable thin film layer disposed on the upper surface of the elastomeric transparent substrate. The upper surface of the elastomeric transparent substrate and the light-penetrable thin film layer are in a periodic wave shape, and the lower surface of the elastomeric transparent substrate is in a plate shape.

This paper proposes recognition of Quranic verse recitation focus on Tajweed rules mainly for pronunciation correction using Hidden Markov Models with Field Programmable Gate Array ( FPGA) board. It introduces the basic principle of speech recognition system by using two main algorithms which is Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients ( MFCC ) and Hidden Markov Model ( HMM ). In term of HMM module, two different algorithms will be applies, which is Baum-Welch Algorithm for HMM training and Viterbi Algorithm for HMM testing. Z – source inverters have been recently proposed as an alternative power conversion concept as they have both voltage buck and boost capabilities. These inverters use a unique impedance network, coupled between the power source and converter circuit, to provide both voltage buck and boost properties, which cannot be achieved with conventional voltage source and current source inverters. To facilitate understanding of Z – source inverter, this paper presents a detailed analysis, showing design of impedance network, implementation of simple Boost control PWM technique and simulation of Z – source inverter for different values of modulation indices.

The objective of this study was to develop and evaluate a methodology to identify individual sources of emissions based on the measurements of mixed air samples and the emission signatures of individual materials previously determined by Proton Transfer Reaction-Mass Spectrometry (PTR-MS), an on-line analytical device. The methodology based on signal processing principles was developed by employing the method of multiple regression least squares (MRLS) and a normalization technique. Samples of nine typical building materials were tested individually and in combination, including carpet, ceiling material, gypsum board, linoleum, two paints, polyolefine, PVC and wood. Determination Of Material Emission Signatures By Ptr-Ms And Their Correlations With Odor Assessments By Human Subjects, Kwanghoon Han

The objectives of this study were to determine volatile organic compound (VOC) emission signatures of nine typical building materials by using proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry (PTR-MS) and to explore the correlation between the PTR-MS measurements and the measurements of acceptability by human subjects. VOC emissions from each material were measured in a 50-l small-scale chamber. Chamber air was sampled by PTR-MS to determine emission signatures. Sorbent tube sampling and TD-GC/MS analysis were also performed to identify the major VOCs emitted and to compare the resulting data with the PTR-MS emission signatures. The measurement of snow hydrological parameters is extremely important in developing a model for the predication of Snow avalanche as well as Snowmelt water in the rivers. When direct measurement of these parameters is practically difficult, its dependence on snow temperature is used to develop snow cover models. A robust model for avalanche forecasting requires a sophisticated instrumentation system which can measure the required temperature parameters at right data points within snow pack.
