Separation Distance Reduction In Mimo Systems Using End-Fire Antenna Arrays, Amean Al_Safi

The main problem in Multiple Input-Multiple Output (MIMO) systems is the separation distance between antennas which must be greater than or equal to half wavelength. Satisfying this separation is difficult or impossible especially at mobile communication, therefore this paper study the capability to reduce these separation distance by using End-Fire antenna arrays. Each antenna at the transmitter and receiver side is replaced by a set of antennas work as an array with a radiation pattern directed toward the axes of the arrays.
