The article is devoted to the review of the modern state of research in the mineral fertilizers drying field, critical analysis and comparison of widely used drying apparatuses. There are procedures of preliminary equipment selection for soluble fertilizers industrial drying on the basis of such criteria as productivity, efficiency, energy saving, environmental impact degree, indicating the possible advantages and disadvantages of different application variants.

The issues of convective drying of bulk materials as objects of monitoring, control and advanced management are presented based on the results of simulation modeling of a complex heat and mass transfer process, taking into account the drying kinetics.
