Real Time And High Fidelity Quadcopter Tracking System, Tyler Mckay Hall
Computer Engineering
This project was conceived as a desired to have an affordable, flexible and physically compact tracking system for high accuracy spatial and orientation tracking. Specifically, this implementation is focused on providing a low cost motion capture system for future research. It is a tool to enable the further creation of systems that would require the use of accurate placement of landing pads, payload acquires and delivery. This system will provide the quadcopter platform a coordinate system that can be used in addition to GPS.
Field research with quadcopter manufacturers, photographers, agriculture and research organizations were contact and interviewed for information …

Computer Engineering
This is a project about extending the capabilities of current consumer virtual reality systems. The goal of the project was to extend the capabilities of the Oculus Rift Headset in order to create a system which would allow a user to explore a virtual environment in an immersive way just as they would explore reality. The system created would allow a user to explore a virtual environment by walking around in a familiar immersive manner. This was accomplished using the Unreal Development Kit, a state of the art GPS system, and industry proven IMU. The user’s movements are tracked as …

Wii-Mote Head Tracking: A Three Dimensional Virtual Reality Display, David Fairman
Computer Engineering
The goal of this project is to create a customizable three dimensional virtual reality display on a system available to any non-technical user. This System will use the infrared camera component of a standard Nintendo Wii-mote to track a user's head motions in all six major directions. The virtual reality will be a customizable image projected onto a screen or simply shown on a computer or TV monitor. In order to appear 3-dimensional, the image will continually change according to the position of the user's head. As the user moves their head to the left and right, portions of the …
