The basic purpose of the study was to determine the best location for the construction of an East-West section of the interstate highway. It was prescribed that the work would consist of two basic parts. One had to do with the analysis of travel data, both present and projected, in the determination of the most feasible location of a route based on conventional traffic and highway development factors.
