Research For Propanediol, Chuen-Tat Kang Nov 2008

Research For Propanediol, Chuen-Tat Kang

Kang Chuen Tat (江俊达)

First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all parties involve in the contribution of the contents of the book. Without their efforts this book publication will never be made possible. This book summarizes the research experience of Chuen-Tat Kang comprehensively from year 2005 in Australia. Most portion of the book describes the biocatalysis research held in Swinburne University of Technology (www.swin.edu.au) and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) Australia (www.csiro.gov.au) during the postgraduate doctorate studies in year 2005. Portion of the content of the scientific research experience could be viewed at the website http://chuentat.tripod.com. …

Analytical Study Of Blood Flow With Periodic Body Acceleration In The Presence Of Magnetic Field, Dr. Anil Kumar Jul 2008

Analytical Study Of Blood Flow With Periodic Body Acceleration In The Presence Of Magnetic Field, Dr. Anil Kumar

Dr. Anil Kumar

In this paper we consider a human body is quite often subjected to the acceleration in the magnetic e#11;ects. The induced magnetic #12;eld is neglected. To account such acceleration can generate signi#12;cant e#11;ects on blood circulation depending on the con#12;guration and geometry of the blood arteries. The current study is related to mathematical model of study of blood ow in presence of magnetic e#11;ects subjected to externally imposed periodic body acceleration. By using the #12;nite Hankel Transforms, an exact solution of steady ow of blood as an incompressible, couple stress uid has been obtained. The results have been compared with …

Lend Me Your Arms: The Use And Implications Of Humancentric Rfid, Amelia Masters, Katina Michael May 2008

Lend Me Your Arms: The Use And Implications Of Humancentric Rfid, Amelia Masters, Katina Michael

Professor Katina Michael

Recent developments in the area of RFID have seen the technology expand from its role in industrial and animal tagging applications, to being implantable in humans. With a gap in literature identified between current technological development and future humancentric possibility, little has been previously known about the nature of contemporary humancentric applications. By employing usability context analyses in control, convenience and care-related application areas, we begin to piece together a cohesive view of the current development state of humancentric RFID, as detached from predictive conjecture. This is supplemented by an understanding of the market-based, social and ethical concerns which plague …

Writing Research Proposal: Literature Review And Database Search, Mamoudou H. Dicko Prof. May 2008

Writing Research Proposal: Literature Review And Database Search, Mamoudou H. Dicko Prof.

Pr. Mamoudou H. DICKO, PhD

The maiden proposed research project should demonstrate that the present study will add a significant knowledge on the subject. The main objective of the literature research is to allow that the statement of the research need will clearly establish the objective of the new study.

Recent Development Of The Homotopy Perturbation Method, Ji-Huan He Dec 2007

Recent Development Of The Homotopy Perturbation Method, Ji-Huan He

Ji-Huan He

The homotopy perturbation method is extremely accessible to non-mathematicians and engineers. The method decomposes a complex problem under study to a series of simple problems that are easy to be solved. This note gives an elementary introduction to the basic solution procedure of the homotopy perturbation method. Particular attention is oaid to constructing a suitable homotopy equation.
