The lack of motivation in high schoolers has increased in the last ten years. This literature review will explore the reasons for lack of motivation in high school students, and if school belonging, teacher enthusiasm, parent involvement, and holding students accountable contribute to motivation or if lack of those factors leads to more dropouts. The purpose of this literature review is to show why high school students have a lack of motivation and what can be done. The articles researched were focused on qualitative research. This article presents a summary of the literature regarding the procedures used to evaluate counselor education students. Justification for evaluations and evaluation criteria including multicultural considerations are presented. In addition, a summary of evalution procedures being used in counselor education programs are addressed. Finally, areas of further research and implications for training and supervision are noted.

Counselor educations are called to provide some kind of interprofessional training so that students are better equipped at working with other helping professionals on various client cases. This article provides several other reasons why interprofessional training is relevant in counselor education. In addition, several interprofessional training strategies are addressed.

This paper is the first of a number I planned to carry out on models of excellent in fraternity chapter advising. I am still working on the qualitative data I collected a decade and a half later. The thesis is that if one focused on models of excellence in fraternity operations to learn the manner in which successful leaders and organizations achieve their objectives, much greater progress would be made than focusing on the reduction of negative issues and problems such as alcohol abuse, sexual abuse, and hazing.
