It was the purpose of this study (1) to examine the attitudes of principals as to whether they saw their roles changing as a result of professional negotiations, (2) to show how the principals felt their roles would be changed, (3) to examine which type or group of principals felt most threatened by professional negotiations, and (4) what stratagem principals may follow in the future as a reaction to teacher militancy.
