This study was an investigation of the impact an exploratory field trip experience had on sixth grade students' cognitive understanding of specific ecological concepts being taught by their respective instructor. The purpose of this study was to analyze the change in the cognitive level of students' classroom dialogue before and after being exposed to an exploratory field trip experience. Further, this study was to verify whether a significant change in the students' cognitive understanding of the ecological concepts had occurred as a result of a specific series of multi-sensory encounters in the out-of-doors.

Amateur wrestling is one of our finest interscholastic sports. Although it is one of many sports that involves both individual and team competition, the individual wrestler classified according to weight, seems to receive more recognition than in many other sports .

Hence, the ultimate of individual expression in wrestling is the tournament. The growing emphasis on multi-team wrestling tournaments, has presented a problem in organizing and administering such a tournament. Little has been done in the past to help the inexperienced coach obtain the necessary information needed to help him feel confident about volunteering to direct and host a tournament. …

This paper presents a survey study of the present status of scouting in Washington, Class AA, high school wrestling. The study through the use of a questionnaire and personal interview, was designed to reveal the experience level of coaches, the use of scouting, and the method of scouting in Washington State. Complex chi square was used to evaluate the relationship between coaching experience and the use of scouting. The relationship did not prove significant at the five percent level.

Two specific problems were selected by the researcher as the basis for this study: (1) What is the extent, if any, of ressentient among the selected college baseball coaches, and to what extent is this ressentient perceived by their players? (2) Does a relationship exist between ressentient attitudes of the selected coaches and the amount of dissidence they perceive in the attitudes of their players?

Physical Fitness Activities For Latter-Day Saint Missionaries, Robert R. Hughes

The purpose of this study was to construct a physical fitness program for the needs of full-time missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Two groups, a control and experimental, were selected from the missionaries entering the Language Training Mission on February 16, 1972. The experimental group, consisting of thirty-two subjects, participated in a structured physical fitness class for seven weeks. The control group, consisting of twenty students, participated in no structured program. Each group took a pre- and post-test consisting of four strength factor tests and Cooper's twelve-minute run.
