Tender Buttons is a compilation of poems published by American writer Gertrude Stein in 1914. It is an experimental piece. In it, Stein describes commonplace items using descriptors that are not often associated with them. Each poem examines a unique perspective on a common thing. “Objects”, “Food”, and “Rooms” are the three sections of the book. Background: Food insecurity is lack of access to proper nutrition for an individual to obtain a healthy lifestyle. The goal of this research is to determine the frequency of food insecurity among college students at a four-year college institution during COVID-19 pandemic in association to mental and physical health status.

Methods: This study was conducted among college students using cross-sectional study method. All data were collection virtually and kept anonymous. All statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS version 28 with (p<.05), denoting significance.

Care For Some Lunch? It’S More Than Just Food! Care, Commensality And Pedagogic Meals In Irish Primary Schools, Caroline Mcgowan

This expository article addresses a lacuna in policy and practice literature around using primary school lunches as both a pedagogical opportunity and a space to expose children to social and cultural ‘rituals’ that model both care and food sharing as commensality. The article argues that policy literature in this space broadly tends to be concerned with a medicalised paradigm of nutrition, physical and cognitive development, and disease prevention, with scant regard for the impact that natural ‘everyday’ practices of eating and caring can have on enhancing encultured commensality, care and learning.

Educational games provide learners with team-based, experiential, and problem-centered learning opportunities. Therefore, educational games are recommended to encourage learner success in an increasingly complex and collaborative world. Research exploring interventions to increase teacher affinity toward games is needed to inform expansion of games within classrooms. The current study leveraged the input, environment, and outcomes model to analyze perceptions of games held by school-based agriculture, food, and natural resources (AFNR) educators before and after a professional development experience focused on educational games. This article describes in detail the taxonomy of high-water plants in fisheries based on fisheries in the Bukhara region and the biotechnology of their use as nutrients for fisheries. Alpine plants in this area are classified into important ecological groups such as hydrophobites, hydrophytes and hydatophytes, and their percentage is also analyzed. According to the results of research, 111 species from 38 families and higher aquatic plants are presented in a detailed table. Practical recommendations on the biotechnology of using these plants as food for food are given. Practical results illustrate the current problems of growing Amur white (Ctenopharyngodon idella) …

This research investigates various methods for producing food on the campus of Gettysburg College in order to improve food sustainability. The transportation of food contributes to the increased use of fossil fuels, which in turn leads to global warming and climate change. By producing a larger portion of its food on-campus, Gettysburg College could reduce the amount of food transported to the school, thereby lessening the College’s environmental impact. Urban farming techniques, hydroponics, aquaponics, and greenhouse-based agriculture are explored as viable methods for achieving this goal.
