Chaos Theory And Competency Based Teacher Education, Clive Chappell

Australian Journal of Teacher Education

Central paradigms of modern science are being questioned by an emerging group of scientists called chaos theorists. They argue that the reductionist approach to analysing real systems in order to predict future behaviour of the system cannot succeed. They go further arguing that unpredictable dynamic systems when observed holistically reveal patterns which have the capacity to bring order to chaos. This paper suggests that the reductionist approach to investigation and the ideology of determinism has been absorbed by many other disciplines including education and that investigators in these disciplines need to re-assess their activities in the light of the work …

In February 1987 the 'Better Schools Report' was released in Western Australia. It provided the blueprint for a radical restructuring of the state education system based on the principles of administrative decentralization devolution of authority, and corporate management, The proposed changes were designed to make schools more self-determining, They were also intended to make the delivery of education more responsive, flexible, and accountable. Interest in political socialisation and education, and the agencies through which it occurs, can be traced back to the beginnings of political theory. Much of Plato's Republic was devoted to the proper training patterns of various 'classes' in his ideal state. He reasoned that if political socialisation or civic training was defective a political system would inevitably degenerate through timocracy, oligarchy, and democracy to tyranny (Phillips and Rielly, 1982, 24). เปรียบเทียบทางร้องเพลง “แป๊ะ” Variations In The Singing Of Phleeŋ Pé, A Thai Classical Form, อรวรรณ บรรจงศิลป

งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อวิเคราะห์ทาง ร้องเพลง “แป๊ะ” (สามชั้น) จากนักร้องเพลง ไทย ๖ ท่าน และเปรียบเทียบวิธีการร้องเพื่อ หาเอกลักษณ์ (Style) การร้องของแต่ละท่าน กลุ่มตัวอย่างประกอบด้วย นักร้องเพลงไทย ๖ ท่าน ซึ่งมีประสบการณ์มากกว่า ๓๐ ปี มีชื่อเสียงแพร่หลาย วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย โดยการสัมภาษณ์และบันทึกเสียงทางร้องเพลงแป๊ะ จากนักร้อง ๖ ท่าน และบันทึกเสียงทำนอง หลักจากฆ้องวงใหญ่ นำทำนองหลักและทาง ร้องมาเขียนเป็นโน้ตสากล และทำเป็น Score ให้ตรงกัน นำ Score ไปวิเคราะห์แนวร้องทั้ง ๖ ทาง และเปรียบเทียบเทคนิควิธีการร้องของนักร้อง ๖ ท่าน ผลงานวิจัยพบว่า มีทางร้องที่แตกต่างกันอย่างชัดเจนเพียง ๒ ทางคือ ทางร้องของคุณหญิงไพฑูรย์ กิตติวรรณ ซึ่งมาจากตระกูล จางวางทั่วพาทยโกศล และทางร้องของอาจารย์ เจริญใจ สุนทรวาทิน ซึ่งได้รับการถ่ายทอด จากบิดา คือ พระยาเสนาะดุริยางค์ (แช่ม สุนทรวาทิน) ส่วนอีก ๔ ท่าน มีลักษณะของ การผสมผสานจาก ๒ ทางแรก ผลการวิเคราะห์ ด้านเสียงร้องพบว่า คุณหญิงไพฑูรย์ใช้วิธีการ ร้องแบบที่มีมาแต่สมัยโบราณ ซึ่งเป็นการร้อง ประกอบการแสดงละคร คือ ใช้เสียงแหลมสูง เสียงดัง เสียงแข็ง การตกแต่งการเอื้อนหรือ คำร้องมีน้อย การร้องคำร้องต่าง ๆ มุ่งร้องไห้ ตรงกับเสียงหลักมากกว่าการผันเสียงร้องให้ ถูกต้องตามเสียงวรรณยุกต์ ส่วนการร้องของ อาจารย์เจริญใจ สุนทรวาทิน เป็นลักษณะใหม่ ใช้เสียงนุ่มนวลการเอื้อนหรือการร้องคําร้องมี การประดับประดาด้วยเสียงต่าง ๆ มาก มีเสียง หนัก-เบา เน้นความรู้สึกและอารมณ์เพลง ชัดเจนยิ่งขึ้น เน้นการผันเสียงคําร้องตามเสียง วรรณยุกต์ สำหรับนักร้องอีก ๔ ท่าน ลักษณะ เสียงร้องคล้ายคุณหญิง …

ระยะช่วงเสียงที่เหมาะสมของเด็กระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ ๑-๖ ที่ใช้ในการร้องเพลง The Comfortable Singing Range Of Thai Elementary Children (Grades 1-6), ณรุทธ์ สุทธจิตต์

วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัยคือ การชี้ แสดงระยะช่วงเสียงที่เหมาะสมในการร้องเพลงของเด็กระดับประถมศึกษา และความแตกต่างของระยะช่วงเสียงของเด็กชายและเด็กหญิงใน ระดับประถมปีที่ ๕ และ ๖ การวิจัยใช้วิธีทดลองกับกลุ่มตัวอย่าง ซึ่งเป็นเด็กระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ ๑-๖ ของ โรงเรียนสาธิตจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย (ฝ่าย ประถม) จํานวน ๑๔๔ คน เป็นชายและหญิง จำนวนเท่ากันคือ ๒๒ คน การคัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างระดับชั้นละ ๒๔ คน เป็นชายและหญิงจำนวนเท่ากันคือ ๑๒ คน โดยใช้อายุและ ความสามารถในการร้องระดับเสียงต่าง ๆ ได้ด้วยเป็นเกณฑ์การคัดเลือก ในการทดลอง ใช้แบบบันทึกผลการทดลอง ๒ ชุด คือชุด แรกเป็นชุดที่ใช้บันทึกผลการทดลองเป็นรายบุคคลใช้ในขณะทดลอง ชุดที่สองเป็นแบบ บันทึกผลเป็นระดับชั้นโดยแบ่งเป็นชายและ หญิง ซึ่งนำไปใช้ในการสร้างตารางในการ วิเคราะห์ผลการทดลอง ผู้ทำการทดลองเป็นผู้ ช่วยวิจัยจำนวน ๔ คน โดยมีผู้วิจัยคอยให้คำปรึกษาขณะทดลอง การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้ฐานนิยมเป็นตัวชี้แสดงระยะช่วงเสียงที่เหมาะสมของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่าช่วงเสียงที่ เหมาะสมในการร้องเพลงของเด็กในระดับประ ถมศึกษาคือ ระยะช่วงเสียงระหว่าง G, หรือ A-A ระยะช่วงคู่ ๙ หรือ ๘ และระยะช่วง เสียงที่ร้องได้คือ G-C ระยะช่วงคู่ ๑๑ ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นด้วยว่าช่วงเสียงของเด็กหญิง และเด็กชายในระดับประถมปีที่ ๕ และ ๖ ไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน

Microcomputers have become fixtures in most schools. It would be a rare elementary, middle, or high school which did not have a microcomputer lab, and many teachers now have at least one micro available in the classroom itself. With the proliferation of the microcomputer and its attendant software have come many potential uses in content areas (Blanchard & Mason, 1985). Vocabulary instruction is perhaps one of the most accessible and versatile areas in which the microcomputer can be a significant adjunct to content teaching.

Promoting Learning Autonomy: Helping Students Become Independent Learners, Gwendolyn Y. Turner

Reading Horizons: A Journal of Literacy and Language Arts

After twelve years of schooling, many students still do not have mature and efficient strategies necessary for independent learning. In an effort to address this problem, most postsecondary institutions are offering courses in basic skills such as reading, study skills, and writing. A search of the professional literature on studying and learning reveals the following reasons for students failing to apply independent learning strategies: lack of instruction, blind training in applying strategies, weak metacognitive strategies, and resistance to changing existing behavior patterns. Students can become independent learners when they overcome these obstacles.

In the past ten years, major reports have appeared criticizing the educational system. A number of these suggest that schools are not producing adults willing to take an active citizenship role in society. Such reports as A Nation at Risk (NCEE, 1983) and The Carnegie Report (Boyer, 1983) are among many general education studies which address this point.
