It is the purpose of this study (1) to emphasize the complementary union between literature and the visual arts; (2) to limit the exploration to those specific lyrical prose writers: Hermann Hesse and Virginia Woolf; (3) to create prints utilizing the novel as a source of image-gathering but which do not retain this identity in the finished work; (4) I to experiment with the division of the plates, as well as cutouts for the effect of creating spatial illusion or imaginary space.

The purpose of this study was to determine if a group of kindergarten children, after receiving instructional activities designed to develop automatic-sequential language skills, would differ from a matched control group not receiving such instruction. The design of the study called for the administration of the three ITPA subtests, Visual-Motor Sequencing, Auditory-Vocal Sequencing, and Auditory-Vocal Automatic, to both groups prior to and following the program of instructional activities.

Information regarding staff, budget, facilities, equipment, materials and services provided by the media programs of the public schools within the Estacada Union High School District was not available. The problem was to gather data on each specific item and present it in a usable manner. The purpose of this study was to determine the weaknesses that could be identified by comparing the quantitative elements of the media programs available in the individual school with evaluative criteria provided by the requirements and recommendations of state and national media standards.

Although no one knows how alcohol affects an animal's perception or why it does not appear to affect his retention of time, this study, analyzing the IRTs that were between 10 and 40 seconds, supports the conclusions of previous studies and indicates that the effect of alcohol is much the same for pigeons as it is for rats.

The purpose of this study was to measure and compare, by replication, the reactions favored by teachers of 1969 in handling child behavior problems to those reactions favored by teachers in 1949. This study progressed beyond the previous study (Stendler: 1949), by identifying what differences, if any, exist between teachers of different sexes and what significance, if any, the number of years of teaching experience has on the reactions of teachers about the ways to handle behavior problems of children.

It appeared to the author from reviewing the proposed Washington State Standards that perhaps the "quality" and "guidance functions" recommended by the Panel and adopted by the Vocational Education Act, to be available to students, were not being met by the counselors qualifying under the variety of requirements available to Washington State counselors.
