Public Acceptance Of Guidance And Regulations For Space Flight Participation, Cory Trunkhill, Robert Joslin, Joseph Keebler

Space flight participants are not professional astronauts and not subject to the rules and guidance covering space flight crewmembers. Ordinal logistic regression of survey data was utilized to explore public acceptance of current medical screening recommendations and regulations for safety risk and implied liability for civil space flight participation. Independent variables constituted participant demographic representations while dependent variables represented current Federal Aviation Administration guidance and regulations. Odds ratios were derived based on the demographic categories to interpret likelihood of acceptance for the criteria. Hospitality and tourism (H&T) researchers employ structural equation modeling (SEM) and other multivariate techniques to test their models with survey data. These approaches assess relationships among constructs and model fit, but they do not highlight the most influential survey items or links among them. Other challenges include method-specific requirements for appropriate data, the best indices to identify optimal models, minimum sample sizes, missing data, and interpreting the results from complex models. Co-occurrence network analysis (CNA) can mitigate these limitations. This study reviews research on the theme of Islamic-based hotels in reputable journals. It uses bibliometric analysis of a selected 67 articles related to Islamic hotels published by national and international journals. The entire sample of journal publications have been published in the ten years from 2011 to 2020. The results show that in researching Islamic hotels, case studies are dominated by Malaysia, following by Indonesia. Network visualisation shows that the development of Islamic hotel research is divided into 4 clusters. “Project Sidewalk” is an existing research effort that focuses on mapping accessibility issues for handicapped persons to efficiently plan wheelchair and mobile scooter friendly routes around Washington D.C. As supporters of this project, we utilized the data “Project Sidewalk” collected and used it to confirm predictions about where problem sidewalks exist based on real estate and crime data. We present a study that identifies correlations found between accessibility data and crime and housing statistics in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. It has been claimed that providing more prompts or categories in the expenditure module of a visitor survey should assist respondents to recall their expenditure more accurately though this does not appear to have been supported by the few field tests conducted to date. This paper describes an experimental examination of the effects on reported expenditure of providing additional cues in the expenditure module of an event visitor survey. The World Health Organization (WHO, 2002) ranked obesity among the top 10 risks to human health worldwide. In the early 1960s, nearly half of the Americans were overweight and 13% were obese.
