Sport related sexual assault has been prevalent in society. For the victims, there are limited avenues to cope with the issues they have faced in the aftermath of sexual assault. At collegiate sport organizations, there seems to be a disconnect between what is right and wrong, especially regarding sexual assault. This study navigates the rough waters of sexual assault and provides institutions with information regarding social media once there is a sexual assault case. Franchise relocation has been occurring in professional sports for years. The Hartford Whalers experienced one in 1997. Almost 20 years later, the American Hockey League (AHL) experienced a historic franchise relocation process. However, little research has been done that included more recent research about fan identity, affiliation, and actions.
