Each year the University of Maine School of Performing Arts presents a completely student-organized fundraiser pops concert in the Collins Center for the Arts. It is a detailed account of author Adam Karal Sahli's artistic process in directing the musical I Love You Because at Minnesota State University, Mankato in the Fall of 2012. The thesis records the artist's process from production selection through performance in five chapters: a preproduction analysis, a historical and critical analysis of the work, a production meeting and performance journals, a post-production analysis and a process development analysis. Appendices, works cited and works consulted follow.
