Design work from the 1992 spring semester, Studio Martin Price, School of Architecture, The University of Texas at Arlington. Theatre 3. The site is a large, open green space adjacent to the Meyerson Concert Hall in Dallas. A rhythmic wave-like composition is produced by raising sections of land upward and lowering sections downward. The small scale arena-type theatre is positioned under the raised section facing the street. The lowered section brings the sky down into the land, providing daylight to the below-grade parking entrance to the concert hall. The land then rises up to contain restaurants. The land climbs up …
