Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil program supervisi pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh pengawas pendidikan sebagai pembimbing, pengembang, peningkat mutu, pelindung, dan pelayan pada sekolah lanjutan tingkat pertama dan sekolah lanjutan tingkat atas di Kota Fakfak.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian 11 kepala sekolah, 28 guru, dan 2 pejabat Dinas Pendidikan di Kabupaten Fakfak, dengan melibatkan 11 sekolah di Kecamatan Kota.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para pengawas telah melak-sanakan supervisi, tetapi belum merata, berkesinambungan, berkelanjutan, dan belum sesuai dengan jadwal yang direncanakan. Hasil supervisi pada pembimbingan tercapai 56,73%; hasil supervisi pada pengembang-an 61,86%; hasil …

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi perkembangan moral keagamaan mahasiswa Fakultas Tarbiyah IAIN. Untuk itu, perlu dicari indikator-indikator moral keagamaan mahasiswa dan menyelidiki karakteristik instrumen tersebut

Populasi penelitian ini adalah 2.260 mahasiswa Fakultas Tarbiyah IAIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, sedangkan sampel penelitian 10% dari populasi yakni 226 mahasiswa ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah inventori dan menggunakan analisis faktor.

Over the past 55-60 million years cetacean (dolphin, whale, and porpoise) brains have become hyperexpanded so that modern cetacean encephalization levels are second only to modern humans. At the same time, brain expansion proceeded along very different lines than in other large-brained mammals so that substantial differences between modern cetacean brains and other mammalian brains exist at every level of brain organization. Perhaps the most profound difference between cetacean and other mammalian brains is in the architecture of the neocortex. Patients with high-level cervical cord injuries are dependent in most activities of daily living (ADL) because they possess very little residual motor function. The utilization of appropriate assistive devices could enhance their independence and improve their quality of life.A prospective study was conducted with 11 male tetraplegic patients between 22 to 51 years of age (mean, 32.0±10.0 years), living in central Taiwan, with C4 or C5 cord injuries; the duration of their injuries ranged between 16 to 125 months (mean, 56.8±28.6 months). In this paper Butler argues that despite a stronger, group-wide emphasis on new venture creation among black Americans in the past, entrepreneurship continues to be a means of economic security and wealth creation for this group. To frame his argument, Butler examines Modes of Adjustment theory and the decline of venture development among African Americans. His emphasis is on understanding the theory's implication for black entrepreneurship and for the entrepreneurial education of future generations. Entrepreneurship education at U.S. universities formally began at Harvard University in 1947 with a single course and most significant efforts began in the past 30 years (Katz 2003). This paper provides entrepreneurship education profiles of top ranked programs, emerging campus-wide programs, and 1890 Land Grant Institution programs. Entrepreneurship Centers (ECs), typically in Schools of Business, are components of entrepreneurship education at many institutions. ECs have programs and services from research to academic instruction to community outreach and programming. Alzheimer's disease is a neurological disorder characterized by nerve degeneration and neuronal death. The diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease at an early stage is a major concern due to the lack of a standard and effective diagnosis procedure available to community healthcare providers, as well as the increasing numbers of the elderly population affected. Clinical evaluation, the standard AD diagnostic procedure conducted at major university hospitals and research clinics, achieves, on average, a positive predictive value of 93%, with a sensitivity of 83%, specificity of 55% and an overall accuracy of 75%. There have been isolated reports in the literature of the natural history and less than complete knowledge of the epidemiology and the pathophysiology of endocrine alteration occurring after traumatic brain injury (TBI). This article describes one primarily adrenal-dysfunction patient with severe TBI who had no evidence of present or prior adrenal autoimmune disease, infection, hemorrhage, or malignancy. It is suggested that this distinct condition can be labeled as ”primary adrenal insufficiency (PAI) developing after TBI”.

This study presents a review of biodegradability modeling efforts including a detailed assessment of two models developed using an artificial intelligence based methodology. Validation results for these models using an independent, quality reviewed database, demonstrate that the models perform well when compared to another commonly used biodegradability model, against the same data. The ability of models induced by an artificial intelligence methodology to accommodate complex interactions in detailed systems, and the demonstrated reliability of the approach evaluated by this study, indicate that the methodology may have application in broadening the scope of biodegradability models. Though these deleterious actions are often attributed to "states" during times of armed conflict, they are normally the result of military operations conducted by members of the military who are carrying out orders from military superiors. While many have proposed systemic changes that affect how states can or should be held responsible, few have commented on the process of holding individual military personnel or commanders responsible for battlefield acts of environmental damage. Working within the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Cooperative Extension/Sea Grant Program, the Great Bay Coast Watch (GBCW) is New Hampshire’s most wide ranging program for direct citizen involvement in monitoring estuarine and coastal systems. GBCW has a fifteen year history of educating citizens about the Great Bay Estuary, New Hampshire Seacoast, and Gulf of Maine watershed through active participation in monitoring and an accompanying education program. Based in Durham, NH, GBCW coordinates over 100 volunteers drawn from 19 New Hampshire and Southern Maine communities. The natural gas transmission pipeline network in the United States is a key component of the nation's energy supply infrastructure and extends for over 280,000 miles and has an average age of over 60 years. The integrity of the pipeline is maintained by periodic inline inspections using magnetic or ultrasonic pigs. Defect characterization algorithms developed using current pigging data are hampered by the fact that single inspection techniques (either magnetic or ultrasonic) do not yield sufficient information for accurately and repeatably characterizing defects.
