Wildfires significantly impact water quality in the Western United States, posing challenges for water resource management. However, limited research quantifies post-wildfire stream temperature and turbidity changes across diverse climatic zones. This study addresses this gap by using Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Regression (SVR) models to predict post-wildfire stream temperature and turbidity based on climate, streamflow, and fire data from the Clackamas and Russian River Watersheds. We selected Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Regression (SVR) because they handle non-linear, high-dimensional data, balance accuracy with efficiency, and capture complex post-wildfire stream temperature and turbidity dynamics with minimal assumptions. Mapping agricultural fields using high-resolution satellite imagery and deep learning (DL) models has advanced significantly, even in regions with small, irregularly shaped fields. However, effective DL models often require large, expensive labeled datasets, which are typically limited to specific years or regions. Effective identification and control of malaria vector larval breeding habitats are crucial for the management and eradication of malaria. Despite its importance, the last decade has seen a decline in data availability and intervention efforts due to reduced attention and prioritization. This study addresses the geographic data scarcity concerning Anopheles funestus larval breeding habitats in a malaria-prone region of western Kenya. Employing a two-step methodological approach, we integrated multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) and rule-based fuzzy logic analysis to evaluate the spatiotemporal similarity or divergence of these habitats. Youth and social media are increasingly intertwined, as their socio-cultural trajectories accelerate digital connectedness and intensify the contestation of diverse identities. Posting on social media has thus become a ritualized practice. This article explores how Indonesian university students construct identities by sharing achievement stories and success narratives on Instagram. Using qualitative data, it examines the experiences of students who have excelled in academic competitions. The study identifies two key typologies behind such posts. Firstly, personal determinism, aimed at self- reward and self-branding. Secondly, social motivation, focused on inspiring peers and building supportive networks to achieve academic success. Despite increasing interest in social forestry, limited research has explored the interplay between community capacity and access within Indonesia’s Social Forestry Utilization Permit (IPHPS) scheme. This study examines the relationship between community capacity, access, and socio-economic impacts to inform effective policy implementation. Employing a qualitative case study approach, it focuses on a community granted an IPHPS Decree within the Perum Perhutani Forest Management Unit (KPH) Telawa. The findings identify three key dimensions of community capacity: technical capacity (local knowledge and skills), networking capacity (social capital and relationships), and cultural capacity (local wisdom and practices). Data over an 80-year period from Georgetown, Guyana were analyzed to determine rainfall patterns along the coastal plain. Data revealed that two distinct wet and two dry seasons occur annually and that a high probability exists that annual rainfall almost never surpasses nor lags behind that of the previous year for more than two consecutive years. Additionally, it is concluded that rainfall was heavier during 1941-1980 than during the previous 40 years, and that interannual and interdecadal variability existed during the study period . Responding to a shortage in local shelter space and a preference for alternative forms of shelter, homeless people in Lane County, Oregon, took shelter unlawfully at the Armitage Homeless Camp (AHC). This paper examines the residents' sense of place, concepts of home, and perceptions of the camp in an attempt to gauge the meaning and value of AHC from the perspective of urban campers. Data were collected from November to May, 1993, through participant observation, interviews, and surveys in the forms of questionnaires, cognitive mapping, and selfdirected photography. Developments in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) have provided a practical and economical uses to a variety of disciplines. This paper focuses on the application of this technology to a geologic region using polygon analysis techniques. This application evaluates the feasibility of such methods as compared to conventional geologic field techniques. Urban poverty and the "underclass" remain politically and emotionally charged topics among academicians and political analysts concerned with American urban affairs. Geographers, however, have not been central to the main debates. The latter trend is perplexing, given the spatially concentrated nature of the underclass problem.
