Background: chronic shoulder pain is a frequent and debilitating symptom in patients with chronic inflammatory rheumatism, such as polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR). Diagnosis and management of shoulder pain in this condition are often challenging due to overlapping clinical features with other musculoskeletal disorders. Recent advances in musculoskeletal ultrasonography have provided a valuable tool for diagnosing and guiding treatment, particularly for ultrasound-guided corticosteroid injections. Background Atlantoaxial Rotatory Fixation (AARF) is a relatively rare condition, most diagnosed in the children, with common etiologies including minor trauma and upper respiratory infections. However, cases of AARF resulting from congenital strabismus are yet to be reported. Objective We aimed to underscore the uncommon association between AARF and congenital strabismus and to evaluate the effectiveness of halter traction. Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between Hemophilia Joint Health Score 2.1 (HJHS 2.1) and Hemophilia Early Arthropathy Detection with Ultrasound (HEAD-US) in Taiwanese patients with severe hemophilia and identify specific items within HJHS to predict early ultrasonic changes in hemophilic arthropathy (HA).

Methods: Thirty-six patients with a total of 210 joints were evaluated. We used Spearman's rank correlation coefficient to analyze the correlation between these two scales. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of each HJHS item were also calculated to predict early HA.

Ankle Fractures account for approximately 9% of all lower extremity fractures and incidence continues to rise. Up to 53% of ankle fractures require surgical intervention. Impaired physical function is one of the most reported and observed lasting effects of surgically repaired ankle fractures. Additionally, limited physical capacity and function have been identified as the primary threats to health-related quality of life after surgical repair of ankle fractures. Research indicates that female athletes have a higher risk of musculoskeletal injuries. Hormone fluctuations throughout the different periods of the menstruation cycle impacts the risk of injuries for women. Contraceptive use, most used in the form of an oral contraceptive pill, directly effects hormones and menstrual cycle related symptoms, with evidence of ameliorating some symptoms. Oral contraceptive use is suggested to influence musculoskeletal injuries in female athletes. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate physical therapists (PT) and physical therapy assistants’ (PTA) readiness to deliver telehealth (TH) services during COVID-19 pandemic. Method: IRB approved this survey analysis study. The Modified Maryland TH Readiness Assessment Tool (mMTRAT) was distributed by email to all licensed PTs and PTAs in California in October 2020. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare between-groups differences for continuous demographic data. Purpose: To determine perspectives towards opioid use, knowledge on managing an opioid overdose, and awareness towards individuals who use opioids of Indiana physical therapy (PT) professionals. Methods: An online questionnaire was disseminated to PT professionals in Indiana from various practice settings. This questionnaire included two standardized measures, the Opioid Overdose Knowledge Scale (OOKS) and the Opioid Overdose Attitude Scale (OOAS). PURPOSE: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease that ultimately requires a power wheelchair (PWC) as the main source of mobility. The purpose of this project was to determine the effectiveness of an educational video to prepare a client for a PWC assessment by addressing four themes: PWC features, home environment, transportation, and client self-efficacy.
