The purpose of this study was to 1) investigate the incidence density of taxane-induced peripheral neuropathy (TIPN), which included sensory and motor neuropathy symptoms, and their risk factors, 2) investigate the static and dynamic postural stability during taxane-based chemotherapy, and 3) investigate the fall incidence density and risk factors in women with breast cancer who were undergoing taxane-based chemotherapy. Previous research revealed that textured surface treatments improved standing balance performance or had a negative effect on gait performance in older adults. The new design textured insole socks were introduced in this study. To compare the effectiveness of lumbar rotation mobilization and central posteroanterior (central PA) mobilization on the intensity of low back pain (LBP), lumbar range of motion (LROM), functional rating index (FRI), and global perceived effect (GPE) in individuals with bilateral non-specific low back pain (NSLBP). Seventy bilateral NSLBP individuals were recruited (19 men and 51 females). The participants were randomly assigned into two groups using concealed opaque envelopes: central PA or rotation. Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) is a substance use disorder that characterizes a dependence on and an addiction to opioids. Opioids attack the prefrontal cortex, the dopaminergic reward system, and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis which is responsible for the body’s stress response. Opioids constantly shift one’s “set point” to the point where normal actions that cause joy and excitement no longer cause those feelings, resulting in craving and dependence. Purpose:
Knee sleeves have become widely popular in the exercise realm, especially for knee support during back squats. Knee sleeves are successful in providing frontal plane knee support during functional tasks, but have not been investigated in back squats. Knee wraps, a somewhat similar elastic material, provide elastic energy that increases weight lifted during back squats. Thus, it is possible the thick neoprene knee sleeves could prove advantageous for back squats. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of knee sleeves on weight lifted, knee biomechanics, and muscle activations during back squats.

Aging workers has been linked with high prevalence of both musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Health status has a significant impact on work ability. This study compared work ability, using the Work Ability Index (WAI), among aging office workers with and without MSDs and NCDs and determined factors associated with WAI scores. A cross-sectional study was conducted among office workers aged between 45-60 years. An online questionnaire was adopted to collect data. In health, the gold standard is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.This state is weakened by physical inactivity, which involves a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, depression, and obesity. Moreover, 6% to 10% of all deaths from non-communicable diseases worldwide can be attributed to physical inactivity. These adverse effects of physical activity provide evidence that physically active individuals are closer to the gold standard of health than inactive individuals. This program was specifically targeting children 8 to 15 years old diagnosed with Down's Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, Gross Motor Function Classification Scale levels I, II, and III. Champ's Triathlon Training Program was an extension of the Champ's Tri My Best Triathlon hosted by a team of therapists and Vanderbilt's Pediatric Clinic, including Kelley Newman. The role of attentional focusing in motor tasks has been highlighted frequently. The “internal–external” dimension has emerged, but also the spatial distance between body and attended location. In two experiments, an extended attentional focus paradigm was introduced to investigate distality effects of attentional foci on balance performance. First, the distality of the coordinates of the point of focus was varied between a proximal and distal position on an artificial tool attached to the body. Background: Yoga practice is commonly utilized by physical therapists in order to promote physical and mental health. In populations with a poorer prognosis, mindfulness and overall well-being becomes increasingly important.
