OBJECTIVE: STEEL MAGNOLIAS (shared telehealth for multidisciplinary gynecologic cancer survivorship) is a novel gynecologic cancer surveillance care-delivery program in which rural patients see a close-by gynecologist in person with simultaneous virtual gynecologic oncology consultation. This study assesses feasibility of STEEL MAGNOLIAS by examining travel burden reduction, cancer outcomes, visit activities, guideline adherence, and patient satisfaction. Topological structures in image data, such as connected components and loops, play a crucial role in understanding image content (e.g., biomedical objects). Despite remarkable successes of numerous image processing methods that rely on appearance information, these methods often lack sensitivity to topological structures when used in general deep learning (DL) frameworks. In this paper, we introduce a new general approach, called TopoImages (for Topology Images), which computes a new representation of input images by encoding local topology of patches. [Purpose/significance] This study investigates differences in digital medical-health information privacy preferences by measuring privacy sensitivity across diverse user groups in multiple contextual scenarios, analyzing variations both within user groups (across contexts) and between user groups (within the same context), thereby providing actionable insights for developing context-aware health information protection frameworks in digital healthcare services.

[Method/process] A model of users' sensitivity to digital medical health information was constructed based on contextual integrity theory, and an experimental study was conducted using a discrete choice experiment method. Problem: Inefficiencies in patient portal secure messaging between providers and patients in a large primary care practice led to delayed resolution times, averaging 5.6 days per message. Most messages were closed by physicians or advanced practice providers, resulting in imbalanced workload distribution, increased provider burden, and reduced communication efficiency. The lack of standardized guidelines for message use, character limits, or triage processes contributed to workflow disruptions, a diminished patient experience, and unreimbursed provider time.

Background: Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma of liver (UESL) is a rare malignancy of liver originating from primary mesenchymal tissue with overall poor prognosis. Around 220 pediatric cases of UESL have been reported in the literature. The lack of characteristic clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging studies pose a diagnostic challenge and the preoperative misdiagnosis rate is high. Historically, treatment was limited to surgical resection with poor survival rate. In recent times, combination of chemotherapy and surgical resection has improved survival.

Learning health systems (LHS) improve patient and provider experiences, population health, and health system performance. LHS leaders develop LHS’ social and scientific infrastructures and align the LHS with host organization’s priorities. Introduction: Hospital discharge is a complex process plagued with medical errors and poor coordination. Disjointed discharges are detrimental to Appalachian patients with access barriers and multiple chronic diseases. Telehealth is a tool used to improve access within rural Appalachia. To address this high-risk transition period, an interprofessional team deployed telemedicine to improve post-hospital care for Appalachian patients.

Background: Cervical cancer remains the fourth most common cancer among women globally and a leading cause of cancer-related mortality in India. Despite being largely preventable through screening, uptake remains suboptimal due to socio-cultural and systemic barriers.

Methods: A community-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 300 women aged ≥20 years residing in urban and rural areas of Mysuru. Data were collected using a pre-tested, semi-structured questionnaire and analyzed with SPSS version 30.

BACKGROUND: Behavioral interventions for people with headache (HA) diseases have demonstrated clinical efficacy. Despite strong empirical support and endorsement by professional practice organizations, behavioral interventions are not widely accessible to HA patients. Clinic-based behavioral treatments remain inaccessible to many. The objectives of this study are to conduct a pilot randomized controlled trial and to determine the feasibility of the implementation of a cognitive behavioral therapy protocol for HA (CBT-HA) delivered via telehealth (TENACITY) compared to enhanced HA usual treatment (EHUT).
