This study aims to explore the impact of big data utilization on quality improvement in inpatient facilities, specifically assessing its influence on readmission rates, patient outcomes, and potential cost savings. This study utilized mixed methodologies with a literature review complemented by semi-structured interviews to gain perspectives about big data utilization on quality improvement in inpatient facilities. Patients with anemia and other conditions resulting in loss of blood often come with orders to return wasted blood to them. While using typical blood draw practices, patients are placed at an increased risk of infection when their blood is exposed to the outside world. My question is, will using a closed system decrease the instances of infection in patients who receive their waste blood after draws? By utilizing a waste syringe attached to the IV line, nurses can avoid detaching and reattaching syringes to collect and give back the patient's blood. Mental health providers particularly encountered transitions that included higher acuity caseloads, working different hours, and increased exposure to COVID-19. Inadequate health insurance coverage may hinder the management of asthma in children in recurrent emergency department (ED) visits in comparison to children with health care insurance. Children with asthma who do not have health insurance are at risk of not having access to primary care physicians. They may live in poorer communities, where they are more likely to encounter higher concentrations of asthma-inducing agents or factors contributing to increased healthcare utilization, resulting in increased expenditures and reduced patient outcomes.

OBJECTIVES: To examine changes in MRI rates between Pre-COVID-19 period (Feb-April 2019) and COVID-19 period (Feb-April 2020) among commercially insured patients aged 18-60 with a diagnosis of acute LBP, and to analyze differences in patient characteristics and outcomes between the time periods. Additionally, to examine the impact of eMRI on patient outcomes and health care costs for patients in the COVID-19 period.

DESIGN/METHODS: Using IBM® MarketScan® Commercial Database (MarketScan) we performed a quantitative pre-post comparative retrospective observational study of 117,150 total patients to examine adjusted differences in patient characteristics and rates of MRIs between time periods. Hospital readmissions during pregnancy nationwide impacts maternal health outcomes elevating the risk of maternal deaths after discharge. The accessibility and affordability of necessary prenatal care is integral to the field of health across the lifespan. Socioeconomic barriers within rural locations place expecting mothers at an adverse risk of developing conditions including preeclampsia and other complications that may result in hospital readmission. This proposal advocates for implementing mandatory mindfulness and stress reduction training sessions for surgical students at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). It is well-documented that medical students, particularly those in surgical disciplines, experience high levels of stress, which can negatively impact their mental health, academic performance and overall well-being. Mindfulness-based interventions have shown promise in reducing stress and enhancing resilience among medical students. Objective
Aboriginal communities are impacted by high rates of diabetes, however these are currently underestimated by national data sources used by policy and decision makers to inform allocation of health resources. We aimed to estimate diabetes prevalence and screening coverage using primary care electronic medical record data.

Methods
A cross-sectional audit was conducted using primary care data from Aboriginal regular Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) clinic attendees aged 15 years and over (n=1763) in five remote communities in the Kimberley region.
