Compassion fatigue (CF) is a significant cause of nurse burnout (BO). Oncology nurses are particularly susceptible to CF because of the continual contact with terminally ill patients and recurrent experiences with patients’ death. AbstractPhysical activity (PA) is recognized as a treatment protocol for lung cancer patients that improves physical impairments and reduces symptoms of psychological stress. This qualitative interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA) study was conducted to explore the lived experience of lung cancer patients and how PA is influenced by anxiety, depression, and fatigue. This study was guided by Bandura’s self-efficacy theory and Engel’s biopsychosocial model. The engagement in virtual healthcare was intensified when traditional healthcare methods were inaccessible during the federal restrictions implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing digital apparatuses for healthcare improved the convenience, efficiency, and accessibility of various mental health services that were inoperable in past healthcare models. Breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of death among women. Roughly 2.4 million women are diagnosed annually with breast cancer throughout the world. Although breast cancer survival rates are favorable for the United States compared to other nations (90% 5-year survival for non-metastatic disease), it comes at a high cost. The United States spends an estimated $30 billion annually on breast cancer treatment. In addition, disparities in breast cancer survival rates also exist in the United States.
