Ibn BAṬṬŪṬA, the famous globe-trotter, was, and will undoubtedly remain, one of the great travelers in the world. He traveled a distance far beyond what the semi-contemporary Venetian traveler Marco Polo could have done. He left us a wonderful account of interesting trips to the well-known parts of the world in the 8th century AH / 14 AD. It has been the focus of orientalists' attention since the nineteenth century, so they sought to investigate, study, translate and criticize it.
