Good afternoon. I'm Alisa Solomon, the executive director of the Center for Lesbian and Cay Studies (CLAGS) at the City University of New York, and I'm glad to be here on behalf of CLAGS to voice our strong objection to Mayor Giuliani's so-called Cultural Affairs Advisory Commission. We at CLAGS are not fooled by the Mayor's disingenuous assertions that this committee is merely a group of concerned citizens exercising their free speech in offering him their advice, for we recognize many of the members as long-time activists in the effort to squelch dissident viewpoints and legislate their own narrow morality. …

A History Of Public Radio In An Urban Community: Its Impact Upon Education, Culture, Public Opinion And Policy, Barry K. Graham

In a relatively short history, Public Radio in Hampton Roads has emerged as a most important cultural and educational asset to the urban community. The dynamic growth of the Hampton Roads urban infrastructure is the result of several political, economic, and cultural factors. Public Radio has been one of these factors and has served as a catalyst for change and growth in the community. This case study focuses upon Public Radio stations WHRO-FM and WHRV-FM and the elements which brought about their historical development.

Die hier vorgestellte Studie „Analyse und Evaluation der Softwareentwicklung in Deutschland" [2] wurde von der GfK Marktforschung GmbH in Zusammenarbeit mit den Fraunhofer-Instituten für Experimentelles Software Engineering (IESE) und für Systemtechnik und Innovationsforschung (ISI) für das Bundesmini¬sterium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) durchgeführt. Ziel der Untersuchung war es, den nationalen Softwaremarkt, der sich immer mehr zu einem der Schlüsselmärkte entwickelt, quantitativ und qualitativ zu charakterisieren sowie in seiner weiteren Entwicklung und seinen Anforderungen zu beschreiben.
