The goal of this report was to study scientific-based programs that promote the Theory of Cognition as the foundation to learning and teaching special education students and students classified as learning disabled in the public schools of under-served communities; to inform families who live and send their children to public schools in under-served communities of these alternative approaches to learning, inform them of their rights during IEP reviews and requesting an impartial hearing; and stop the School to Prison Pipeline. The nonprofit sector has seen a 20% increase in the number of higher education institutions over a period of 10 years, from 2000-2010, (Blackwood et al. 2012), which had a big impact on the public charity revenues and expenses. Today, restaurants, including all eateries that operate within New York City, as well as restaurants across the country, regularly use a rather large amount of an artery-clogging agent, commonly found within their vital ingredients. Artificial transitive fatty acid, or trans-fat as known to the consumer, is the target of the NYC Board of Health and Mental Hygiene, medical experts, and health conscious consumers, for permanent removal from all NYC restaurant menus by July 2008.
