Developing A Roadmap For Green Port In Timor-Leste, Emanuel Da Silva Maia

On that matter, this study aims to analyze the current status of Timor Port as the gateway port in the country, accommodating ocean-going vessels from various countries, which poses a significant pollution to the atmosphere.

Moreover, this study also examined current energy management, the drivers and barriers, to transform Timor port to shift towards a more environmentally responsible approach.

However, this study identified some challenges that could hinder the implementation of green port practices in Timor Port, such as policy, regulatory, and framework issues, high capital costs, limited awareness and expertise, technology uncertainty and incompatibility, including leadership commitment and political …

The Zero Emission of Domestic Shipping in the Republic of Korea (ZED-PK) project is an ambitious initiative aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and developing a path towards zero emissions for the domestic shipping fleet in the Republic of Korea. ZED-PK encompasses a systematic and transdisciplinary approach involving multiple stakeholders. The project is structured into three phases, each dedicated to progressively advancing the decarbonization efforts within the maritime sector.

Domestic shipping is integral to the Republic of Korea’s economy, but contributes significantly to air pollution and GHG emissions. The sector’s emissions pose environmental risks, human health threats, and additional external costs, …
