Officially, women have been serving in the United States military since 1948 when President Truman signed the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act. Women currently make up approximately 8% of active duty military. Based on progress due to equality and equity, women are now occupying positions previously designated for men. Although women have made great strides in the military, there is limited research on women in the military or how their military service affects them. Recognizing the need to better understand the problem of VAC in Côte d’Ivoire (CI), the government of CI recently completed a survey on violence against children. The recent data will support an evidence-based national action plan for the prevention of VAC. Research shows that initiatives tackling specific problems will only be as successful as the community’s readiness to take action. Established delivery companies and new startups are investing in technologies that reduce delivery times and/or increase delivery drivers’ productivity. In this context, the adoption of Sidewalk Automated (or Autonomous) Delivery Robots (SADRs) has a growing appeal. SADRs are pedestrian sized robots that deliver items to customers without the intervention of a delivery person. The purpose of this project was to explore the power dynamics between monogamous female same-sex couples, where traditional gender roles in relationships were not in play. In this study, I conducted a focus group of women who had been in lesbian relationships in the past or at the time of the study, and gathered insight into the dynamics of their relationships. I determined that same-sex couples do experience intimate partner violence, or IPV, but that their levels of masculinity and femininity were unrelated to the extent of power that they had. Speed limit increases, particularly on interstates have been studied and researched many times over the course of the last 50 years in the United States. These research efforts began after the implementation of the National Maximum Speed Law (NMSL), which reduced all speed limits to a maximum of 55-mph. In the years that followed, this restriction was relaxed to 65-mph with the Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act (STURAA) and ultimately repealed later by the National Highway System Designation Act (NHSDA). Mental health conditions are arguably the most prominent disabling medical condition that military service members endure. Veterans with combat-related PTSD often refrain from seeking mental health treatment due to the stigma attached. Concealing PTSD or attempting to cope without professional help can lead to extreme and lifethreatening consequences including depression, substance abuse, and suicide. Attaining a better understanding of stigma management strategies is important because it has the ability to help veterans better manage stigma in the future. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to understand the success rates for health departments pursuing and achieving accreditation in version 1.0 and 1.5 of the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) standards and measures. During the accreditation process, health departments that present performance gaps are asked to complete an Action Plan to specify how they plan to improve to meet the desired conformity. National parks have recently seen increased visitation demand. Glacier National Park is located in an area where changes in weather and climate will occur at an accelerated rate. Changes in fire and precipitation regimes are taking place at a time when Glacier National Park is setting new visitation records. This paper uses regression and forecast models to investigate the changing landscape of park visitation.

Findings suggest important impacts to monthly visitation and cycling on Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park are associated with forest fire activity and precipitation. The conclusions of this paper support perceptions about the effect natural occurrences …

There is a high-rate of burnout among teachers around the US often linked with the increasing stressors and demands (e.g., Iancu, Rusu, Măroiu, Păcurar, & Maricuțoiu, 2018). Additionally, Jennings and Greenberg (2009) demonstrated the importance of teachers’ social and emotional competence for promoting well-being and academic success in classrooms. Stress that is overwhelming or unaddressed can lead to teacher burnout, but there may be effective ways of promoting self-care among teachers, such as mindfulness-based practices. She looked at major events that helped shape our country’s understanding and policies around property. The Native American Housing Assistance and Self Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA) established a single flexible federal block grant for tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entity to provide housing assistance to their tribal members. This shift recognized Native rights of tribal self-determination and self-governance, and it reorganized the mechanism by which tribes received compensation for land cessions. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development currently administers the Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) annually, with funds typically prioritized to housing on reservation or tribal lands. In an Enhanced Service District (ESD) property managers are required to pay a license fee, and the money from that license fee is used to fund extra security, marketing, and cleaning programs. ESDs patrol a huge chunk of Portland’s public space.

Despite their significant role in managing public spaces, oversight for ESDs is very limited. The city government collects the assessed fees and gives it to the overseeing organizations to spend. There are no oversight measures for these organizations mandated by law.

Collaborative planning is a dominant theory in planning in which multiple stakeholders come together to deliberate on common concerns and apply consensus building and public participation methods to make policy decisions. Homeless shelters can be chaotic and sometimes not much better than living on the streets. Sleeping pod villages, such as Kenton Women’s Village, provide opportunities for community development while still allowing privacy and security. The village model provides a more incremental transition into permanent housing from the streets rather than a sudden transition. This report provides an update on the village and results of a survey that explored physical health, mental health, demographic information, and level of satisfaction with village living.

We conclude with a discussion on the possible implications and put forward a preliminary argument for further study that would explore some of the more nuanced aspects of access to capital barriers. การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาพฤติกรรมการป้องกันโรคติดเชื้อ COVID-19 ของผู้สูงอายุ 2) วิเคราะห์พฤติกรรมการป้องกันโรคติดเชื้อ COVID-19 ของผู้สูงอายุ 3) นำเสนอแนวทางในการบริหารจัดการด้านสุขภาพการป้องกันโรคติดเชื้อ COVID-19 ของผู้สูงอายุ กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือผู้สูงอายุที่อาศัยอยู่ในเทศบาลเมืองบึงยี่โถ อำเภอธัญบุรี จังหวัดปทุมธานี จำนวน 102 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถามออนไลน์ โดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive statistics) ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าความถี่ และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ใช้สถิติเชิงอนุมาน (Inferential statistics) ได้แก่ Independent Sample T-test, One-Way ANOVA และการวิเคราะห์ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน (Pearson’s Correlation) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิงร้อยละ 76.5 อายุช่วง 60-70 ปีมากที่สุด ส่วนใหญ่จบการศึกษาชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายร้อยละ 32.4 และมีโรคประจำตัวร้อยละ 53.9 ซึ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างมีพฤติกรรมการป้องกันโรคติดเชื้อ COVID-19 อยู่ในระดับสูงคิดเป็นร้อยละ 97.1 ส่วนปัจจัยด้านบุคคล พบว่า เพศ อายุ ระดับการศึกษาและภาวะการมีโรคประจำตัวไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันโรคติดเชื้อ COVID-19 ในด้านความเชื่อด้านสุขภาพที่ประกอบด้วย ปัจจัยการรับรู้โอกาสเสี่ยงของการเป็นโรค การรับรู้ความรุนแรงของโรค การรับรู้ภาวะคุกคามของโรค การรับรู้ประโยชน์ที่จะได้รับ การรับรู้อุปสรรคของการปฏิบัติ และความต้องการสนับสนุนบริการสุขภาพไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันโรคติดเชื้อ COVID-19 แต่ปัจจัยด้านสิ่งชักนำหรือสิ่งกระตุ้นมีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันโรคติดเชื้อ COVID-19 ทางบวกอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.01 ความต้องการได้รับการสนับสนุนบริการสุขภาพอยู่ในระดับสูงร้อยละ 73.5 โดยส่วนใหญ่มีความต้องการหน้ากากอนามัย แอลกอฮอล์เจลล์ ข้อมูลข่าวสารในการป้องกันโรค ความต้องการเข้าถึงบริการตรวจคัดกรองโรคติดเชื้อโรคโควิด 19 ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการตรวจคัดกรองโดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย และการได้รับข้อมูลข่าวสารและให้คำปรึกษาจากภาครัฐ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการต่ออายุงานหรือการจ้างงานผู้สูงอายุในตำแหน่งที่ปรึกษาของส่วนงาน โดยสถาบันทางการศึกษาเป็นองค์การที่ผู้วิจัยได้สนใจและเลือกศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่นำมาใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้คือ พนักงานมหาวิทยาลัย สายปฏิบัติการ ระดับหัวหน้าหน่วยงานขึ้นไปที่สังกัดสำนักงานมหาวิทยาลัย จำนวน 36 ส่วนงาน งานวิจัยเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ทำการเก็บข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์ สำหรับเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ แบบสัมภาษณ์ที่มีข้อคำถามลักษณะปลายเปิดและปลายปิด ซึ่งแบ่งสองส่วนหลัก ๆ คือ ส่วนที่เป็นข้อมูลการต่ออายุงานหรือการจ้างงานผู้สูงอายุในองค์การ และส่วนที่เป็นปัจจัยและอุปสรรคที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการต่ออายุงานหรือการจ้างงานผู้สูงอายุ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ในปัจจุบันส่วนงานยังไม่มีการต่ออายุงานของผู้สูงอายุ เนื่องจากยังขาดระเบียบบางประการมารองรับ แต่มีการจ้างงานผู้สูงอายุในตำแหน่งที่ปรึกษาของส่วนงานเป็นรายกรณี และสำหรับปัจจัยที่ส่งผลมากที่สุดต่อการจ้างงานผู้สูงอายุคือ องค์ความรู้ ความสามารถและประสบการณ์ของผู้สูงอายุ ส่วนอุปสรรคที่ส่งผลต่อการจ้างงานผู้สูงอายุมากที่สุด คือ ปัญหาทางด้านสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุ

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษา 1) เพื่ออธิบายที่มาของการกลายเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยทางการเมือง แนวคิด อุดมการณ์ และ 2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ยุทธศาสตร์การเอาตัวรอดของการเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยทางการเมือง รวมทั้งวิธีการเข้าถึงที่อยู่อาศัยการได้รับความช่วยเหลือ รวมทั้งอุปสรรคต่าง ๆ ในการใช้ชีวิตของการเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยทางการเมือง โดยผู้วิจัยได้ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ผ่านการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกแบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง (Semi structure in-depth interview) โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยทางการเมืองคนไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศฝรั่งเศส และองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนที่ให้การสนับสนุนและช่วยเหลือกลุ่มผู้ลี้ภัยดังกล่าว ผลการศึกษาพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีจุดเริ่มต้นของการเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยทางการเมืองมาจากการรัฐประหารยึดอำนาจ โดยคณะรักษาความสงบแห่งชาติ (คสช.) เมื่อปี 2557 ซึ่งกลุ่มผู้ลี้ภัยเหล่านี้ถูกออกหมายจับในข้อหาฝ่าฝืนคำสั่ง คสช. และหมายจับข้อหาหมิ่นพระบรมเดชนุภาพ (กฎหมายอาญา มาตรา 112) การดำเนินนโยบายของคณะรักษาความสงบแห่งชาติ (คสช.) มีลักษณะทิศทางแบบแนวดิ่งจากชนชั้นปกครองมาสู่ประชาชน ประชาชนที่มีความเห็นต่างจึงมีความกังวลถึงความไม่ปลอดภัยจึงต้องลี้ภัยเพื่อเอาตัวรอด กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้ใช้กระบวนการลี้ภัยหรือช่องทางหลบหนีในลักษณะแบบไม่เป็นทางการจากประเทศต้นทาง โดยใช้เส้นทางธรรมชาติเพื่อเข้าสู่ประเทศปลายทาง และมีบางกลุ่มตัวอย่างใช้การเดินทางโดยเครื่องบินเพื่อเข้าสู่ประเทศปลายทางในฐานะนักท่องเที่ยว การดำรงชีวิตเมื่อเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยมีการใช้ชีวิตที่ยากลำบากตามสภาพของประเทศที่ได้เดินทางไป กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้รับการช่วยเหลือจากองค์กรเอกชนในการดำเนินการประสานงานกับประเทศปลายทางและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อดำเนินการออกเอกสารสำคัญ สนับสนุนตั๋วเครื่องบินสำหรับการเดินทาง รวมทั้งดำเนินการอื่นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการรับรองสถานะของการขอลี้ภัย สำหรับอุปสรรคและสิ่งที่ต้องกังวลในการเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยทางการเมืองนั้น กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีอุปสรรคในเรื่องของภาษาและวัฒนธรรมที่ต้องมีการปรับตัว และการลี้ภัยในประเทศฝรั่งเศสกลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้ลี้ภัยทั้งหมดสามารถทำกิจกรรมทางการเมืองได้อย่างเปิดเผย

การศึกษาวิจัยเรื่อง “สมรรถนะและการพัฒนาบุคลากรสายงานทรัพยากรบุคคลในยุค Digital HR ของพนักงานรัฐวิสาหกิจแห่งหนึ่ง” เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน ประกอบด้วยการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณโดยใช้แบบสอบถามในการศึกษาระดับสมรรถนะด้านดิจิทัลในปัจจุบัน และระดับสมรรถนะที่คาดหวังในการทำงานยุค Digital HR และการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยใช้สัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง ในการศึกษาแนวทางการพัฒนาบุคลากรสายงานทรัพยากรบุคคลที่เหมาะสม ซึ่งเป็นการขอความเห็นจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญสายงานทรัพยากรบุคคล โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับสมรรถนะด้านดิจิทัลของบุคลากรสายงานทรัพยากรบุคคลในปัจจุบัน ศึกษาช่องว่างของสมรรถนะด้านดิจิทัลของบุคลากรสายงานทรัพยากรบุคคลในปัจจุบันกับระดับของสมรรถนะที่คาดหวังเพื่อรองรับการทำงานในยุค Digital HR และเสนอแนะแนวทางในการพัฒนาสมรรถนะของบุคลากรสายงานทรัพยากรบุคคล เพื่อเตรียมพร้อมรองรับการทำงานในยุค Digital HR ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ระดับสมรรถนะด้านดิจิทัลของบุคลากรสายงานทรัพยากรบุคคลในปัจจุบันอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และระดับสมรรถนะที่คาดหวังด้านดิจิทัลอยู่ในระดับสูง ดังนั้นจากความแตกต่างของสมรรถนะในแต่ละด้าน จึงต้องมีการนำวิธีที่เหมาะสมมาปรับใช้เพื่อพัฒนาบุคลากร โดยมีสมรรถนะด้านดิจิทัลที่เหมาะสมในการนำมาใช้พัฒนาบุคลากรสายงานทรัพยากรบุคคลด้านความรู้ คือ เทคนิคการใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลสนับสนุนการปฏิบัติงานตามบทบาทหน้าที่ สมรรถนะด้านทักษะ คือ การประยุกต์ใช้เครื่องมือดิจิทัลเพื่อการทำงาน และสมรรถนะด้านคุณลักษณะ คือ พัฒนาตนเองอย่างต่อเนื่อง

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการส่งเสริมการจัดทำงบประมาณ โดยคำนึงถึงมิติหญิงชาย (Gender Responsive Budgeting : GRB) ของสำนักงบประมาณ ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานที่มีภารกิจในการจัดทำงบประมาณของประเทศไทย ในการศึกษาวิจัย ใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสารงบประมาณ การสัมภาษณ์บุคลากรจากกรมกิจการสตรีและสถาบันครอบครัว กระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับข้าราชการสำนักงบประมาณตั้งแต่ระดับปฏิบัติการไปจนถึงระดับอำนวยการสูง จำนวน 11 คน ประกอบด้วยบุคลากรที่เกี่ยวข้องในกระบวนการจัดทำงบประมาณ 3 ด้าน คือ ด้านการวางแผนงบประมาณ ด้านการจัดทำงบประมาณ และด้านการติดตามและประเมินผลผลการวิจัยพบว่า สำนักงบประมาณได้รับการผลักดันเชิงนโยบายในการส่งเสริมการจัดทำงบประมาณโดยคำนึงถึงมิติหญิงชาย โดยอยู่ระหว่างการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างกรมกิจการสตรีและสถาบันครอบครัว สำนักงบประมาณ และสำนักงานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ ในการร่วมกันปรับปรุงแนวทางการจัดทำงบประมาณที่คำนึงถึงมิติหญิงชาย และข้อมูลจำแนกเพศ สำหรับผลการวิจัยด้านทัศนคติพบว่า ข้าราชการสำนักงบประมาณมีทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับความเสมอภาคตามแนวคิดเสรีนิยม (Liberalism) ที่มองว่าหญิงและชายต่างสามารถแข่งขันกันเพื่อความสำเร็จทางสังคม ซึ่งมีความแตกต่างจากแนวคิดความเสมอภาคในการจัดทำงบประมาณโดยคำนึงถึงมิติหญิงชาย ที่เน้นการสร้างโอกาสให้กับผู้ด้อยโอกาสในมิติเพศภาวะ ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงเสนอแนวทางการส่งเสริมการจัดทำงบประมาณโดยคำนึงถึงมิติหญิงชายของสำนักงบประมาณโดยดำเนินโครงการนำร่องที่นำแนวคิด GRB มาใช้ในการจัดทำงบประมาณ

As wind turbines and the number of wind projects scale throughout the world, a growing number of individuals might be affected by these structures. For some people, wind turbine sounds and their effects on the landscape can be annoying and could even prompt stress reactions. This comparative study analyzed a combined sample of survey respondents from the U.S., Germany and Switzerland. It utilized a newly developed assessment scale (ASScale) to reliably characterize these stress-impacted individuals living within populations near turbines.
