Nigeria was under military rule for near to 30 years out of her 55 years of existence after independence. During this period, corruption reached peak levels causing societal retrogression. The dawn of the Fourth Republic in 1999 heralded the revival of elections in the country. It is against this background that this study investigates the extent to which democracy has advanced and improved the living standards of citizens and increased per capita income among others. Penelitian ini akan menjelaskan pengaruh dan pentingnya mata uang Negara mitra dagang utama Indonesia dalam keranjang mata uang rupiah dan terhadap pergerakan nilai tukar rupiah setelah krisis 1997–1998 sebelum dan sesudah China menjadi mitra dagang utama Indonesia. Data yang digunakan adalah data mingguan dari tahun 1999 sampai maret 2016. Penelitian ini berdasarkan model Turnovsky (1982). This simultaneous relationship occurs due to Indonesia’s manufacturing industry is part of the global production network as of its export products containing imported intermediate inputs. SVAR is using to analyze the simultaneous relationship between variables with their own variables and other variables in the past. Current fossil fuels use has created two major issues: environmental damage from greenhouse gas emissions and energy security. In the recent decades, development in science and technology along with increasing demand for shifting to cleaner and renewable energy sources have not yet changed the proportion of fossil fuel in Indonesia energy-consumption mix. One explanation to this phenomenon is the existence of path dependence that locks Indonesia’s technological systems and institutions into cycles of fossil fuels consumption, which in turn limiting the development of alternative technologies. I began collecting vacancy trend data in 2008 to determine if there was an overall trend in the timing of vacancies, this would allow us to begin recruiting prior to increased staffing vacancies. There seemed to be an overall increase in staffing vacancies in April and a recovery in July. However, 2015 staffing trends became increasingly more problematic in a sense that we did not recover from the staffing shortage like we usually do and the turnover rate to date has reached a historic high.

In an effort to better address animal welfare issues, the Onondaga County Department of Emergency Management (OCDEM) initiated the development of an all-volunteer County Animal Response Team (OnCART). • An annex to Onondaga County’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) and OnCART Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were developed in collaboration with state, county, and local stakeholders. This study examines how, when and where Syrian refugee women living in a host community in central Jordan access health services related to noncommunicable diseases. Noncommunicable diseases are the leading cause of death and disability worldwide, but can be effectively managed through timely treatment. Examining access to care for these diseases in the context of humanitarian emergencies, such as war and displacement, is particularly important because they require continuous care, which may be interrupted during emergencies, and because they can cause acute complications, which may be exacerbated by emergencies (WHO, 2016).

What role do local governments play in promoting sustainable economic development? This article uses a 2014 national survey to analyze the relationship between local environment and social equity motivations and the kinds of economic development strategies local governments pursue (business incentives or community economic development policies). Municipalities that pay more attention to environmental sustainability and social equity use higher levels of community economic development tools and lower levels of business incentives. These places are also more likely to have written economic development plans, and involve more participants in the economic development process. India is home to 240 million children currently at risk of Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis, which is spread via unclean water, soil, and food, and causes acute pain and malnutrition. While acknowledging the research debates over WASH and mass drug administration, this study seeks to identify the systemic multidisciplinary issues affecting STH elimination efforts in rural Udaipur.
