The purpose of this project was to write and illustrate pictorial an informational picture book on Iowa's covered bridges. This picture book was meant to assist upper elementary teachers in teaching transportation and architecture to their students and inform them of the value of covered bridges in Iowa's history. The finished product is an informational picture book aimed for nine to twelve year olds, but which younger children and adults could enjoy. In sharing this book with others, the readers mostly were drawn to the photographs, but were also drawn to the writing, especially the ghost story.

This study is entitled the Importance Performance Analysis of U.S. Army Lieutenants' Perceptions of Morale, Welfare and Recreation Services. This present study was designed to determine customer satisfaction among lieutenants in the United States Army and to determine their perceptions of services provided by the Army Morale, Welfare, and Recreation using the importance-performance analysis. Important-performance analysis is an evaluation tool that determines the effectiveness or satisfaction of programs, activities, or tasks being studied. Security is a term that appears to be used in a variety of ways and to have a number of meanings. In policy discussions, there may be reference to information security, national security, network security, online security, and other kinds of security. In an environment where technological innovation appears to be occurring at an ever increasing rate, policy makers look to technological experts for advice, and information security policy is developed, it seems to be important to consider these variations in meaning. While the region experienced dramatic political, economic and social transformations in the last few decades, much of the region’s key security concerns are state-focused. In fact East Asian regional security structures that are products of the Cold War era have remained largely intact.

A New Look At The Multiclass Network Equilibrium Problem, Patrice Marcotte, Laura Wynter

The multiclass network equilibrium problem is expressed in general as a nonmonotone, asymmetric, variational inequality problem. We show that in spite of the nonmonotonicity of the cost operator, the problem may actually satisfy a weaker property, induced by the hierarchical nature of the travel cost interactions. This property allows a natural decomposition approach, not otherwise available, that admits provably convergent algorithms. We present one such algorithm, easily implementable using a solver for the single-class network equilibrium problem, together with a convergence proof.
