Planetary science and deep space exploration under the background of changes unseen in a century have provided young scientists with a golden opportunity. The frontier scientific issues of planetary science and the critical technical challenges of deep space exploration have yet to be explored by young scientists. However, some factors restrict young scientists from devoting themselves to this area. This paper summarizes opportunities and challenges from the perspective of young scientists. It also proposes corresponding policy recommendations, hoping the dream of a powerful country in planetary science and deep space exploration come true with the promoted participation of young scientists.

The complex environmental pollution in China greatly threatens the human health. Although the pollution control policies have taken a great effect in recent years, the resultant long-term, chronic health risks are still concerned. Until now, the causes of many regional high-incidence diseases are still unclear. In order to solve these environmental health problems, we need multi-disciplinary innovations in basic research to establish the comprehensive research chain of "pollution process-human exposure-body response-disease development". China-Russia Crude Oil Pipeline (CRCOP), one of the four key national energy strategic channels, plays an important role in ensuring national energy security, diversifying oil supplies and transportation patterns, promoting the China-Mongolia-Russian economic corridor, and deepening Sino-Russian strategic cooperation. Aiming at permafrost engineering problems along the CRCOP, the principles of thaw control are put forward. The cross-border railways and oil and gas pipelines along the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor are key hubs and channels supporting the regional cooperation and development. It is very important to complete scientific regionalization of ecological risk of China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor and put forward suggestions to guarantee smooth construction and safe cross-border traffic project. By establishing ecological risk evaluation model, we quantitatively analyzed the ecological risk of China-MongoliaRussia Economic Corridor, and regionalized high, middle, and low risk. Landslides and debris flows caused significant threat to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. This study introduced the spatial pattern of the relevant mountainous hazards and assessed the hazards risks, predicted the development trends, and proposed the relevant countermeasures as well. 584 landslides, 116 collapses, and 1669 mudslides in total were identified, which mainly distributed in the mountainous areas in the northern part of the corridor. The hazards were divided into five grades: extremely high, high, medium, low, and extremely low and the northern area is highly dangerous. Regional innovation is an important carrier of innovation-driven development and plays an important role in regional economic growth. The evaluation of regional innovation capacity provides reference for central and local policy making. The China's Regional Innovation Capacity Evaluation Report of 2020 shows that innovation clusters with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and Shaanxi as the centers have taken shape. Major progress has been achieved in building the global centers for scientific and technological innovation.
