COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The COVID-19 virus infection has had an impact on the global health and economic system, including in developing countries. This research is an observational study by estimating the indirect costs of lost productivity due to premature deaths in COVID-19 patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital in 2021 and knowing the characteristics of the patients. This hospital was chosen as the research site because the percentage of Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) was the highest in Sleman Regency in 2021, reaching 68.94%. The results of the research show …

This multivariable analysis of the Economic Development Administration’s allocation decisions examines the EDA’s post-pandemic impact through cross-state funding discrepancies. This research uses a comparative case study design focusing on two states, Texas and Vermont, that have different economic characteristics and receive varying levels of EDA funding. The key variables analyzed include the amount and programmatic category of EDA funding received, and the relationship between funding and broad economic indicators, such as employment statistics, economic output, and industry growth. This article explores the ordeals of returnee female domestic migrant workers of Bangladesh to find out ways help formulate policies by the government. A study has been conducted based on primary and secondary sources. It finds that all types of tortures, including physical, sexual, setting them on afire, forcibly cutting their hair, and hit and falls from rooftop, has to be faced by the women migrant workers. Food insecurity is more common among military families than the general population, and the transition from active service to civilian life is a time of heightened risk. The Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) is designed to support food security among low-income families. Many eligible military and veteran families do not enroll in SNAP due to a lack of information, stigma, and administrative barriers.
