Mental Health As A Mediator In The Relationship Between Life Satisfaction, Resilience, And Employee Engagement Among Generation Z Employees, Ida Farida, Irfiani Triastari
Mental Health As A Mediator In The Relationship Between Life Satisfaction, Resilience, And Employee Engagement Among Generation Z Employees, Ida Farida, Irfiani Triastari
Psychological Research on Urban Society
This study examined the mediating role of mental health, operationalized as lower non-specific psychological distress, in the relationships between life satisfaction, resilience, and employee engagement among Generation Z employees in Indonesia. A quantitative cross-sectional explanatory survey design was used. The sample consisted of 324 Generation Z employees selected from a larger dataset based on age cohort, full-time employment status, and voluntary participation. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with LISREL 8.80 and Maximum Likelihood estimation. The results showed that life satisfaction was positively associated with employee engagement and with mental health as operationalized in this study. Resilience was positively …
Profit & Loss: A Narrative Inquiry Into The Salience Of The Black Male Experience In Top-Tier U.S. Mba Programs, Craig Woodward
Profit & Loss: A Narrative Inquiry Into The Salience Of The Black Male Experience In Top-Tier U.S. Mba Programs, Craig Woodward
Seton Hall University Dissertations and Theses (ETDs)
This study aimed to explore the educational, cultural, and personal challenges faced by Black males in MBA programs and to identify factors that aid their persistence in completing their degrees. The research design employed a qualitative approach to narrative inquiry as its methodology, using one-on-one semi-structured interviews. The study used resilience theory as its theoretical framework, approaching it from both an academic and psychological perspective. Respondents were recruited from the top 50 MBA programs in the United States according to the 2023 edition of U.S News and World Report (2024). There were a total of 15 African American respondents who …

SpaceX mission and the Polaris Program extended astronaut competencies and skills, suggesting mixing traditional practices with pioneering methods. The current astronaut symbolizes a progression, integrating old skills with evolving competencies. While maintaining core technical and scientific aptitudes, today’s astronauts or space explorers must demonstrate mastery in autonomous operations, cross-cultural collaboration, and navigation between governmental and commercial space protocols. Current training practices echo this change, emphasizing resilience for prolonged isolation, self-governing management proficiencies, and competence throughout distinct spacecraft systems. This chapter explores the fundamental human qualities that drive successful space exploration: resilience, curiosity, collaboration, and hope. We highlight how these vital …
Resilience And Reality: Exploring The Lived Experiences Of People Living With Hiv In Texas During The Covid-19 Pandemic – A Qualitative Study., Ahmed F. Alanazi
Resilience And Reality: Exploring The Lived Experiences Of People Living With Hiv In Texas During The Covid-19 Pandemic – A Qualitative Study., Ahmed F. Alanazi
Social Work Dissertations - Archive
This study investigated the lived experiences of individuals living with HIV (PLWH) in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area of Texas during the COVID-19 pandemic, using an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) framework. The research examined the intersection of health, social dynamics, and psychological resilience among PLWH, who faced compounded vulnerabilities due to systemic inequities and the dual public health crises of HIV and COVID-19. Through semi-structured interviews with ten participants from diverse backgrounds, the study captured the profound impacts of disrupted healthcare systems, heightened stigma, and social isolation on this marginalized population. The findings reveal that the pandemic exacerbated existing inequities …
Romantic Resilience: Fractal Conflict Dynamics And Network Flexibility Predict Dating Satisfaction And Commitment, David Pincus
Romantic Resilience: Fractal Conflict Dynamics And Network Flexibility Predict Dating Satisfaction And Commitment, David Pincus
Psychology Faculty Articles and Research
Previous research has demonstrated that interpersonal dynamics are fractal, and that conflict is a key control parameter that drives fractal complexity. The present study aimed to extend this line of research to examine the putative fractal structure of conflict dynamics over time, and the role that this self-organizing fractal structure may play in the resilience of romantic relationships. An experience sampling methodology was used to assess levels of conflict, satisfaction, and commitment in the dating relationships of undergraduate students, three times per day for 30 days. Hypothesis 1 was supported, with conflict ratings over time generally conforming to an inverse …
You Are Resilient: Trauma-Informed, Strengths-Based Treatment For Low-Ses, Urban Youth, Courtney Molina
You Are Resilient: Trauma-Informed, Strengths-Based Treatment For Low-Ses, Urban Youth, Courtney Molina
Dissertations
The focus in this review was to explore the benefits and optimal use of trauma-informed, strengths-based care for the therapeutic treatment of low-socioeconomic status (SES), urban youth. Specific focus was given to evidence-based research on the treatment of emotional and behavioral dysregulation among low-SES, urban youth. The review was guided by the following research questions: How can emotional and behavioral dysregulation be symptoms of trauma among low-SES, urban youth; What makes trauma-informed and strengths-based care optimal for the treatment of low-SES, urban youth with dysregulation; and What are clear guidelines for providing trauma-informed, strengths-based care to low-SES, urban youth with …
Resilience Among Survivors Of Adverse Childhood Experiences In Appalachia, Bridget Jeter
Resilience Among Survivors Of Adverse Childhood Experiences In Appalachia, Bridget Jeter
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
The empirical investigation of adverse childhood events (ACEs) and their relationship with health and well-being outcomes in later life is increasing. Less is known about factors that may promote resilience for those who have survived such challenges, such as how resilience may be facilitated for those with ACEs residing in a marginalized region such as South Central Appalachia. Multidimensional spirituality, social support, stigma related to ACEs, and Appalachian acculturation may serve as both valid cultural factors and potential indicators of resilience. Cross-sectional, simultaneous multiple regression analysis was performed on data collected from 272 adult patients of a South Central Appalachian …

Human task performance is affected by exposure to physiological and psychological stress. The ability to measure the physiological response to stressors and correlate that to task performance could be used to identify resilient individuals or those at risk for stress-related performance decrements. Accomplishing this prior to performance under severe stress or the development of clinical stress disorders could facilitate focused preparation such as tailoring training to individual needs. Here we measure the effects of stress on physiological response and performance through behavior, physiological sensors, and subjective ratings, and identify which individuals are at risk for stress-related performance decrements. Participants performed …
