This study was designed to refine and validate a 160-item self-report instrument which drew its items from personality theories and from clinical practice related to delinquency. The aim was to estimate the usefulness of items descriptive of delinquent behavior by testing their reliability and discriminative power.

There were two objectives. First: to test a set of items for their power to discriminate delinquent from non-delinquent responses which referred to delinquent and nondelinquent behavior. Thirty-eight subjects selected on the basis of extreme REP test scores participated in a task requiring them to make ratings of comfort when presented with hypothetical persons with differing personality attributes. Attribute sets were composed of five bipolar construct dimensions determined individually for each subject by extracting constructs that were mutually unrelated (differentiated) or mutually related (undifferentiated). Subjects rated each of 32 different attribute combinations. An in-depth personality and intellectual evaluation of a group of hermaphroditic children residing in the state of Oklahoma was undertaken in this study. The following techniques were utilized in order to extensively study the impact of this anomaly on the families of these children: psychological tests, parental interviews by a social worker, and diagnostic play interviews conducted by the investigator. It was the purpose of this study to examine the psychological impact of sexual ambiguity on the child and his parents.

The literature on rigidity reveals a concentration in two fairly distinct areas: that of problem solving for cognitive rigidity) and motor rigidity. The problem of the thesis was as follows: On a selected group of children, to what extent are differences between scores of verbal and performance intelligence tests useful as group and individual measures of adjustment? Adjustment was measured by A Test of Personality Adjustment by Carl Rogers. Verbal and performance intelligence were measured by the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children. Differences between scores of verbal and performance tests were measured by a specified criterion, disparity. The problem, findings, and interpretations were limited to these criteria.

Purpose. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of relationship existing between certain personality traits and certain physical traits of approximately 135 freshmen women at the Kansas State Teachers College of Pittsburg, Kansas.

Procedure. A personality test and various physical tests were administered to approximately 135 freshmen women at the Kansas State Teachers College of Pittsburg.
