South Korea is one of the most important allies of the United States. Because of its location in East Asia between China, Japan, and Russia, South Korea is a strategically important partner of the United States. This article critiques critiques of clinical outcome studies carried out in Third World countries of Asia and Africa for new methods of AZT treatment that might affect the transmission of HIV from pregnant women to their infants.
