This research sought to determine the impact of the Older Americans Act of 1965 and its subsequent amendments on the aged population in Portland-Multnomah County from 1965 to 1977. After a comparative analysis of aged services prior to the Act of 1965, and the elderly services subsequent to the Act, the conclusions revealed that there was a significant impact made upon the lives of seniors in Portland-Multnomah County area.

This study identifies the historical events that led to the Older Americans Act. This includes the evolution of aging consciousness in the local, state, and national communities. In addition, the major …

The drafting and enactment of Senate Bill 100 by the Fifty-seventh Session of the Oregon Legislature provided the basis for researching my premise of need equals want. The bill designated state land use planning organizational structure.

It is based on a study by the Conservation, Energy and Natural Resources Subcommittee.

As the title suggests, the report examines the environmental, economic and international aspects of the Garrison Diversion project, which was 19% complete at the time of the report. The report runs 161 pages, excluding table of contents.

In 1972, petitioner Russell Bryan, enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe residing on the Leech Lake Reservation in Minnesota, received a notice of taxation on his home from Itasca County, Minnesota. Bryan filed suit to Minnesota district court which ruled in favor of Itasca County. The law outlines the parameters of the lands and specifies that this act must operate in accordance with the Act of August 13, 1946 (60 Stat. 1050).
